| I went to /b/ all the time when I was depressed, cynical, jaded, and bored (now I am only 3 of the 4). Eventually I got tired of the "humor" and rampant attention seeking through cheap shock statements. Sometimes some of the stuff that comes out of there is kind of witty, but I just don't feel like spending time with it anymore. I'd rather get involved with communities where I can make relationships at this point. That said, I much prefer /b/ to Youtube comments. /b/ is just people intentionally saying provocative stuff to get attention, mostly they don't mean it. Youtube comments are usually what people actually believe if they are willing to commit to an account and the like. Scary. |
