For those of you that don't pay for your manga and read it on websites, there is a very good app you can use to read manga anywhere without any wifi or 3G. This applies to the iPod touch as well. It is very convenient when riding a train or bus because all you have to do is whip out your iPhone and simply touch the app. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to read manga on your iPhone using ComicZeal.

1. Download ComicZeal here.

2. Extract the rar file and click on it. It is an older version (v 2.07) but it doesn't really matter. If you have iTunes installed, it should automatically sync to your iTunes and to your iPhone (if you have it connected of course.)

3. Now you have the app for your iPhone, but you need ComicZeal Sync to actually transfer manga from your PC/Mac to your device. Download ComicZeal Sync here. It is on the left hand side.

4. Locate the manga you wish to transfer. You can download manga on numerous websites so just Google it. It is more convenient if it is in a .rar format, but you can always compress it if it isn't. Once you find the manga, open up ComicZeal Sync, and then drag and drop the manga into it. Here is a picture for the slower people.

5. You can rename the manga according to series and chapter/volume. Once the file has been processed, press "Sync now". Turn on ComicZeal on your iPhone and press the "Featured" icon. A small bar that says "Connect to ComicZeal Sync" should appear at the bottom of your screen. Press that and it should start downloading the manga unto the iPhone.

6. Once the downloading is complete, find it and read it.

I hope this was helpful to all of you iPhone owners. I had a lot of trouble finding ways to read manga on my iPhone, so I decided to share this and save you a lot of time. Post any questions and I will answer them as soon as possible.

Thanks for reading my guide and have a nice day.

1. Download MangaDL. (you do need a wifi or 3G connection)
2. Pay $2.99.
3. Download as much manga as your iPhone/iPod can hold.
4. ????
5. Profit! (or entertainment)

Maybe it's just me, but I can't understand how anybody can see anything on such tiny screens.

Or just use safari and click on the mobile version just about every major manga site has and don't pay 3 bucks for a shitty app that does what safari already does and you don't have to wait for chapters to download.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

I guess that works if you don't want to carry your manga with you. But my main point was, with the app, you can view the manga wirelessly. And the downloads don't take that long anyway.
I could talk more about how much better the app is than browsing in Safari, but I'll save it.

Download some manga and add them as pictures in your iPhone is the easiest way I've found.

I used to do that but then I realized when you zoom in, the quality suffers greatly. This guide is for people who don't have a constant Wifi and don't want to pay for 3G.

...which makes you miss most of the panel/page so that you can't take it all in.

I'm using 'Manga Storm' for 2 years and there is no other application which astonished me as much as mangastorm. it works really solid, there are no crashes, mangafox, mangareader, manga here, batoto and manga eden are offered and you can download every chapter. and you download it from the Mangahost sites server, so you will get informed as fast as it can if there is a favorite manga that has a new chapter! and the controls are comfortable and easy

Or you could just download MangaStorm... o_o'

It works like magic and I've been using it for about 2~3 years. Sometimes it'll crash but it's rare. :)

IT'S LIKE READING A BOOK ON YOUR IPHONE/POD/PAD. :x
