Hmmm, just watched this, and I have to say i'm a little disappointed.

I mean, to begin with this is the worser half of the manga series in my opinion, and considering they had to cover so many volumes with just an 2 and a half hours, i was a little skeptical.

So many scenes with Detective chouno were left out, (and of course, since i love fujiki naohito i was MAJORLY disappointed, chouno is one of my favorite characters in the series as well), and a lot of the other side characters as well. Not as if it was super important, but that is what made the whole series special.

And then, the issue of who was friend. I got a little confused

and of course, the actual ending was just bad, but then again i am never a fan of naoki urasawa's endings. it seems they decided to go with the ending from 21st century boys.

Overall, i give this movie an 8/10. The first two were AMAZING, jaw dropping, and followed the manga tremendously. This movie felt really rushed, but I guess to someone who hasn't read the manga it gives the movie closure ? They just didn't have the time to really go into all the details the manga had. If they had a 4 movie series instead of 3, i think it could have been done much better. Considering they covered around half the series with two movies, and the other half in the third.

Just watched this tonight and enjoyed it for the most part. There were some parts that felt VERY rushed, but overall it was an enjoyable movie. I've never read the manga so I can't compare.

But the ending was dumb. >_< Epic FAIL. I mean, I see why they did it and it certainly gives closure as kat said, but... I mean... DAMNIT. >_< Should've just ended it at the song!

Oh, but on a lighter note I really like the young actor playing you-know-who at the end. He's such a cutie! And he's an AWESOMELY talented young actor. He played a boy with a severe mental disability in Kaze no Garden. Kamiki Ryunosuke! I shall be looking out for him more often from now on.
