| It started raining as Phia went and took cover by the restaurant as she sneaked in through the back door and hind in a closet as she got something warm to wrap around herself. Phia started getting hungry as she slowly opened the door and looked if there was anyone in sight. When she saw that she was clear Phia got out of the closet and got a swift smell of something delicious as she followed it. She saw a warm cooked soup on the counter as she made her way, trying not to get noticed by anyone. |

| Nekio was working in her foster mothers restaurant. She went into the kitchen to stock ingredients for the cooks, not noticing anyone. |
 |
| Phia got tot he counter as she laid low and grabbed the bowl of soup, planning to go back to the closet as she slowly worked her way back there. |
| |
| Nekio continued to work. Since she was deaf she would not hear anything or anyone. |
|
| Phia got back to the closet without anyone seeing her as she sat down by the corner and started drinking the soup, slightly burning her tongue since it was still hot. |
| |
| Nekio went to the closet to get something and opened the door. After she opened the door she saw a girl in the corner. She stood there as she stared at the young girl. |
|
| Phia got started and dropped the bowl as she stared back, looking scared. Grabbing each side of the cloth and wrapping it tightly around her. |
| |
| Nekio could tell this girl was homeless. Anyone could. She smiled as she walked over and leaned down. She took out her notepad that she uses to talk to employees that don't know sign language and wrote a note. "Hello, my name is Nekio. What's yours?" |

| "P-phia," the girl said as she still stayed in place, frozen, |
| |
| Nekio waved and smiled at the girl. "Are you hungry? Would you like something to eat?" she wrote on the next note." |
|
| Phia looked at the girl a little unsure, but nodded her head anyway. |
| |
| Nekio stood up and held her hand out to the girl, still smiling. |
|
| Phia looked at the girl then at her hand as she slowly extended her hand out to Nekio and stood up, still a bit frighten of her. |
| |
| Nekio led the girl out and went to cook her up something. She was taught by her mother to cook some great dishes. She put a plate of ravioli and garlic bread in front of the girl and gave her another note. "Drink?" |

| "Water please,"Phia said shyly, looking at the plate. |
| |
| Nekio nodded then got Phia a glass of water. "Eat up" her next note said. |
|
| Phia looked at Nekio and hesitantly started eating. After a few bites Phia started downing the food as she finished the food in just matter of minutes. |

| Nekio smiled as she watched the wrote another note "Do you have home?" |
|
| Phia shook her head as she finished eating. |
| |
| "Would you lime to come stay at my house" Nekio wrote next with a smile. |
|
| Phia looked at Nekio in a weird way, wondering why she's being nice to someone like her."W-why,?" |
| |
| Nekio looked down as she remembers then wrote a long note, explaining how she didn't have a home before. |
|
| "Oh,"Phia said as she thought about it and decided that it would be nice to be somewhere warm for tonight since it's still raining. |
| |
| Nekio sat there and waited for Phia to answer. |
|
| "Okay,"Phia said as she stood up with still the cloth around her. |
| |
| Nekio smiled then took Phia's hand and led her out where her mother Liya was waiting to take her home. |
|
| "Oh who's this?" Liya signed to Nekio as she looked at the girl. Phia just stood there not saying anything as she felt a little terrified. |
| |
| Nekio signed that it was a friend that was going to spend the night. She then wrote a note for Phia "In case you haven't figured it out I'm deaf. I was just using sign language with my mom." |
|
| Phia just nodded as she gave Nekio a small glance then looked away. "Oh okay,"Liya said."Well nice to meet you I'm Liya Nekio's mother,"Liya said as she smiled at Phia. "P-phia,"was all the girl said, since she was a bit nervous and shy. |

| Nekio took Phia's hand and got in scooting over for Phia. |
|
| "So how come I never met this friend of yours,"Liya asked Nekio, by having her read her lips. Phia just sat back and stayed quiet. |
| |
| Nekio signed that she was a new friend she met a little while back,not wanting to tell her she just met. |
|
| "Oh okay,"Liya said dropping it as she drove back home. Phia looked out the window, thinking this is how it feels to be in a car and to be warm and not out in the cold rain. |
| |
| Nekio looked out the window as well. She then led Phia into the house and to her room. Chiyoko was in the kitchen cooking dinner. |
|
| Phia just followed Nekio, when they got to her room she just stood by the door and stayed there. Not really sure what to do. Liya went to the kitchen and gave Chiyoka kiss."Are little girl brought home a friend,"Liya said, wrapping her arms around Chiyoko. |

| Nekio went to her dresser and got some old clothes for her and a towel and a note as well. "You can wash up if you like." |
|
| Phia took the clothes but still stayed on the same spot for a while as she tried to think and finally decided to take a shower. She went to the bathroom and smiled finally being able to take a nice warm shower as she got in the stall and started showering. |

| Nekio sat on her bed and smiled, glad she was the one giving a helping hand to someone in need. |
|
| Phia was in the shower for at least an hour before she came out with Nekio's clothes on her."Thanks,"Phia said softly as she stood by the side, not really sure what to do. |
| |
| Nekio smiled and grabbed her dry erase board "You're welcome" she wrote then wiped it clean and wrote again "Wanna watch some tv?" |

| Phia just shrugged as she stayed standing. |
| |
| Nekio giggled then took Phia's hand and led her to the living room, sitting down on the couch and turning on the tv. |
|
| Phia let Nekio pull her as she sat down on the couch all stiffed up. |
| |
| Nekio wrote another note in the dry erase board "Hey, relax" |
|
| Phia nodded and took a deep breathe as she slow started to relax |
| |
| Nekio sat back and watched the tv. Chiyoko soon came in with some snacks and drinks. |
|
| By that time Phia was fast asleep, slumber over the couch. |
| |
| Nekio started eating and smiled at Phia asleep. |
|
| Phia started sliding from the couch, side ways, as she slightly fell at Nekio's side. |
| |
| Nekio looked down at Phia and smiled then slightly leaned against her as she watched tv. |
