| Looking for all Anime with strong Female Leads. Please don't recommend anything where the female(s) are clingy and weak. Must be available in English Dub. Also comedy is okay but I prefer something 'serious' without the lame undertones of comedy like in bleach or something. IE: Like every time something serious happens/major drama going on they ruin it by trying to add some comedy into it. On a side request: Does anybody know any Anime where the female character is the 'dominate' one? So instead of how it usuallyis 'female crying on male shoulder and always looking for the male to save her, it's the other way around...?' |

| Princess Tutu is pretty great and has a good dub. GunBuster and DieBuster are really good, but they don't have dubs unfortunately. |

| Princess Mononoke - San, Ebochi-sama and Moro are strong female character, it's dub, serious and doesn't have lame undertone comedy. |
| None of them are the lead though. Don't get me wrong, Princess Mononoke is great, but Ashitaka is unquestionably the main character. However, you reminded me: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind actually does have a female main character. The manga is better than the movie, but the movie is still good. |

Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) Ouran High School Host Club Rozen Maiden Gunslinger Girl Shakugan no Shana Blood+ Ergo Proxy Kiki's Delivery Service- Movie The Place Promised in Our Early Days- Movie Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Traveled Through Time)- Movie Spirited Away- Movie Howl's Moving Castle- Movie Castle in the Sky- Movie Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind- Movie Princess Mononoke- Movie Many of Miyazaki's (Director) movies have many famous American actors and actresses in them. Princess Mononoke's main character is Ashitaka (male), but still has a very strong female lead (Princess Mononoke). Castle in the Sky is the same. The latest movie the Miyazaki has done is called Ponyo, maybe you have heard of it. I am pretty sure all the movies above are Miyazaki's and all the names above ARE dubbed. Good Luck! |

| you should watch Miyazaki's movies if you haven't already, he writes strong female characters. Nausicaa is really good, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited away (in that one the character starts off weaker but becomes strong later), and Howl's moving castle |
