Backround look like drawn on chunky woodchip paper

I can't be the only one that can't get across the fact that for EP 2 all the scenery is drawn onto what looks like woodchip paper. EP 2 has the same in a lot of shots.

It is a canvas-type style or seems to imitate that. It is perfect to portray the scenes of background and city for a anime like this.

another person complaining about animation choices and not appreciating the art and hard work every studio has a different budget etc.

I can't ignore the pattern going from the sky, over the door, to the frame into the house - to me it removes the illusion and screams "this is a drawing, it's 2D, there is no depth" in the face. Another person forcing others to have their views and ignore how they perceive it..
