I'm talking about a MC hero who is a complete and utter douchebag and everyone still loves him. Kinda like Rance. I mean, we had that one where the Hero joined the Demon Lord and he had a massive ego problem, but that was after he got excommunicated by humanity. |

I'm only familiar with the hentai it inspired, but supposedly the game is more or less the same. He has a slave girl he bought and frequently abuses and he pretty much has his way with every girl he talks to. And people still treat him like the hero they always wanted. It has its funny moments but he's still an asshole. |
| A couple of points I forgot to bring up before: What kind of brain dead moron gives a helpless little girl she just rescued from being sold as a slave a bag full of money and then sends her off by herself with no one to look out for her??!! She not only made her a more tempting target for the type of horrible person that might have already taken notice of her, but she also made sure that a whole other class of bad guys, that wouldn't have looked twice at her before, will now also take an interest in her. Even Goku wouldn't be that stupid. But the more important question is, when is the demon loli going to reveal that she's at least twice as old as either of the human women? |

| There's some silly fun in this, but they better give the hero so much more than just fainting from being flustered. This could've hit a comedy home run on me if the hero had some comical substance as well. As it is, I'm guessing that it's not gonna be the 'Sketch'-like concept I expected but more just an adventure in general, with the only thing preventing the assassins from killing the hero being their feelings or the other assassins. I'd be disappointed if so but, if the comedy is fine at least, I'd take it. |

| It was pretty silly to see a shy hero being taken advantage of by three ladies. Could be a fun show even if it just doesn't feel original or something that I should care about. Anyway, given how insanely crowded this season is (normally a lineup like this would happen during the spring or fall seasons, not the summer) that I'm probably not going to stick with it. |
| Yeah, not funny enough and the one gag has played out for me already. Don't hate it but I need to clear space in my queue. |

| Episode 3 Goa is quite the seducer there as she and Ciel make quick work of the bandit Zack and his gang, who has a big bounty on his head. While that's going on, Animeone tests out her Level Bomb that grew so big that it destroyed a chunk of the mountain. Once again, these girls show just how crazy they are and that Toto ought to be more worried about them than whatever enemies they fight. |

| I think after today's attempt, Ciel will just be going through the motions. She likes this life. She likes not being surrounded by rivals talking behind her back and scheming in the shadows. She still has rivals but they are infront of her and, in their own ways, they respect her. Gao likewise is enjoying herself. This is different for her and she was only in it for the lols anyway. She is enjoying the novelty of relationships not based on domination. She is probably going to go easy for as long as she finds the whole thing interesting. Anemone is going to be the hold out. She's more determined and goal focused. She wants to change how the world works and she thinks the only way to do that is with money. Her turning point is going to be the Hero trying to change the world by doing good deeds. It clashes directly with her cynicism and eventually that's going to come to a head. |

| Episode 10: This thing is great, why aren't you talking about it Granted, I usually avoid the constant stream of mediocre isekai, so I almost didn't watch this, but I was bored I guess? I don't remember. Anyway Shy Hero is genuinely funny, and as episode 9 showed, fairly clever. This is the kind of show where you have to forgive its primary conceit—here that Toto passes out absurdly easily out of embarrassment at the very existence of women near him, except Goa walking around basically in underwear doesn't faze him apparently—and its secondary conceit—that these women supposedly want to kill him but are incapable of doing so (or just don't bother trying) even though he's literally unconscious around them all the time—because other than that, it works. Also, is it secretly woke? We just got homosexual panopliaphilia. |
