iirc around october-november 2024, the mangaka made an announcement on their twitter account which they apologized for such long hiatus and there might be a plan to continue this manga, but unfortunately until now there's no continuation and no certain date about when exactly the plan will be executed :( at the very least we now know the mangaka is still alive and active. the only thing we can do is hope that one day the mangaka will pick up this manga again 🙏🏾 i really love this story and im emotionally invested in its characters it would be such a shame and disappoinment to see this be axed for eternity </3

the author is fine do not worry!! its just they havent decided to pick up this manga again :( we nakanohito genome fan might be very few but we are still here and we are still waiting 🤞 頑張って guys ❤️‍🩹

Glad to hear that! I'm also really emotionally invested in the manga, and I'm always coming back to re-read it every year or so. Any chance you can drop a Twitter link? I can't seem to find it.

@BlueMoonTornado we really are one of the strongest fandom out there like we've been waiting for 4 whole years with no info whatsoever yet we are still here and keep the fandom alive ;D

Honestly, I get it if fans lose hope. However, the author has posted spoiler panels a few years back along with the official twitter account being fairly active with characters birthdays so I’d say it has a high chance of coming back, but who knows how long that’ll be. As a huge NNHG enthusiast though, I think I’ll stick around and wait a bit longer.

The one you shown is the author but the official promotional account has been active with birthday posts.
