I know it’s hard to define what a loli is when it’s just art and there’s no mention of age. But being small, adorable, and flat doesn’t strictly make it a child. At least, I don’t perceive her that way. After all, she’s a creature.

I guess they don’t want to take any risks. Lily (the fairy) was also given clothes, even though she looks older.

I ask: who are they appealing to by censoring it? The prudish audience isn’t going to watch it anyway, and would the audience that actually watches this kind of anime really be offended by the presence of lolis at this point? i mean...

They are doing this to appease western investors. Same thing happened with Re:Zero. One of the reason why anime going fully mainstream is a bad thing.

This should be expected. Things they can get away with and put in Mangas are entirely different when it comes to a show. There's even cases in which the MC entire attitude was altered to the point they seemed to be a different person compared to the LN. So, none of this is new.

So basically yet another "ecchi" anime that Japan is censoring in order to cater to normies and prudes. Nothing new here. This has pretty much become the norm for ecchi these days, sadly. And this just keeps reminding me why anime going popular and mainstream was a mistake.

@Piromysl I have a huge feeling they won't just stop with the lolis. They are definitely toning down the fanservice in general, no matter what girl it is. You give them an inch, they take a mile. You allow them to do even slight bit of censoring, they eventually expand it to others as well until there's nothing left to censor anymore.
