| I think it will flop, unfortunately (I hope I'm wrong though cause the idea is cool) because this type of thread requires more complex responses about people you hardly know, which can be quite challenging. Furthermore, I believe most of the answers need to be critical in some way to make the analysis more accurate, which people normally want to avoid. Timeline-man's immortality project is the classic tale of trying to be a hero who can confront the relativism of a world they themself caused the absence of meaning from. The love for mecha is a manifestation of the above mentioned. As the movie Patlabor truthfully portrayed, the giant robot expresses above all totalitarian urges to project structure onto chaos. It is if you will a dehumanized, robotic ideology that means to transcend the nihilistic reality they inhabit. |
