I hadn't heard about this show, as I don't keep up with seasonal stuff too much, but once I saw that it had 4 episodes written by CHIAKI J. KONAKA HIMSELF I knew I had to add it to my ptw. Super happy he returned to anime after 15 years for this, hopefully this means he has motivation to start working on more projects again! And yes, I know he's been working on Despera for 15 years and that's probably taken up a lot of his time, but while that project is stuck in limbo I'd love to see Konaka's name on more projects!

I don’t think this will get a second season unfortunately. The anime adapted 3 out of 4 novels and the rest isn’t enough to justify another cour :\

@baymaxemon the writer of Lain, texhnolyze, digimon tamers and the best parts of rahXhephon, he is one of the best writers and in anime

@Guilmon1 yeah it's been having trouble since the original director passed away in 2013, but development has been restarted a few times, but got pushed back again because of COVID a few years ago. Hope to see it some day! And if not, I'll just read the light novel
