I cried like a bitch, like a lil fuckin bitch while watching clannad after story. I don't remember any other anime SERIES making me cry ( I mean I felt like crying but didn't actually cry while watching some other sad series)

Angel Beats can be quite bittersweet and got me close to tears on a few occasions. If you haven’t seen it I’d highly recommend

Let's see.......a sad tragedy romantic series which can make you cry..... I can suggest only these:

1. I want to eat your Pancreas (best piece of media I have watched in general)
2. Anohana (a really touching story of childhood friends)
3. 5 cm per second (won't make you cry but will hurt you a lot if you can understand and relate with story)

An out of the box recommendation but you can also try "Renai Flops", it might not be a bad watch....... yeah it might be a little cringe for the first 4-5 episodes but then it will definitely give you a similar vibe and OSTs hit hard

If you want recommendation of a sad anime movie in general then watch -:

Cyberpunk edgerunners only 8episodes and full of music and an ending that will definitely depress you if not make you cry it’s about mercenary’s in a fictional futuristic California looking to make it big in night city

But 3D kanojo works well too tho not as sad

affirming everyone else's takes, Violet Evergarden and Clannad After Story. I'm one of those people who would really recommend the first season of Clannad first to make After Story hit harder.
Apart from that, if you still want a music theme you can try Hibike Euphonium. That really made me cry, although you need a completely different mindset than Kimi no Uso to watch that.
Basically, if you want to cry, go to the experts, Kyoani.
