 Canon suggests it's possible to summon a Dragon with a single Dragon Ball. Perhaps it requires only a single ball to summon, but all 7 to actually grant a wish? Did Shenron (or any Dragon) provide any explicit details related to this at any anime / manga at the DBZ universe? And, if so, do they contradict the canon showcased at this snippet? |

| Shenron? No. But the number of dragon balls needed to summon a dragon is decided by the Namekian at the time he made them. We have seen a two ball summon, so theoretically yes.   |

| from all the dragons we have met it hasn't happened and like someone already said its based on the creators will at the time of making the dragon ball or balls they always make it 2 or more from what we have seen in story. |
