This final stand against Sukuna has been going on ever since Gojo died, and characters are dropping like flies. These chapters have been mainly fighting, and time and time again we are hearing that Sukuna is not even trying his hardest. He has gotten powerups like a perfect jujutsu body and the world cutting slash while some of our cast has only really gotten RCT and Yuji got his blood manipulation and soul damage. Keep in mind Sukuna has not even done anything with his Fuga/Fire arrow yet (as of chapter 252).

A lot of people are saying that the constant praise and glazing of Sukuna is tiring and that he has too much plot armor from Gege. Others are arguing that this is how a fight against the strongest of all time should be (which I agree on). My biggest issue was that Kenjaku was tossed to the side in order for everyone to target Sukuna which was very disappointing.

What is everyone else's thoughts on the current battle?

I feel like Gege's just buying time to eventually release Megumi at some point. Because this fight won't start getting anywhere until he is dealt with first. Then, I'm guessing that Yuji and Megumi will have the final tag team against him, and the rest of the sorcerers will deal with the evolved Tengen when he is released after Sukuna's death.

I'm also guessing one of two things. Gege either got very inspired by the second season, or he is being pushed by the editors to drag it out a bit. He wanted to end the whole manga last year, and seeing this fight going on for this long doesn't really make sense according to those calculations. So it's got to be one of those two reasons. I'm hoping it's the first.

I hate the whole Kenjaku thing too. It makes thematic sense for him to be defeated by Takaba, but I always felt like he was a much stronger main villain in terms of pure character than Sukuna. Feels really sad to see him get such a sidelined death to focus on the more hyped character.

Yeah, Megumi and Yuji are going to be the ones dealing with Sukuna at the end, so even though all the current fighting is cool, I agree it can be seen as padding since we all know there is going to be a cathartic moment like there was when Yuji walked down Mahito.

Well it is known that manga authors can almost never estimate when they are actually going to end their series lol. I feel like if the editors really did want to drag it out, they would have wanted him to expand on the one month timeskip where Gojo came back. The editors like those SOL moments since they told Gege to add that bit with Yuji's gf before Shibuya. Gege is probably doing a ton of fights because he simply enjoys making them.

its obvious sukuna is the favorite character of the author but damn the fight is too long now i want it to end and its getting boring like we know sukuna might kill 90% of the remaining characters anyway

What worries me most is that JJK is headed for a poor ending since Sukuna can only be defeated like Madara in Naruto or with some inconsistency that would end up ruining everything completely. The manga lowered its level and became strange after Gojo's death (which by the way was poorly executed)

I get that Sukuna is basically the strongest there ever was... but it just seems like Madara all over again where they keep buffing him over and over again till he's so cracked that nobody can beat him. Killing Gojo was a big mistake imo. At this point, anyone but Yuta killing him will just feel like an asspull. Maybe he's cooking a great finale up, but I'm very worried about the direction it's going right now

It's actually kinda funny.

Bro made gojo so op he couldn't think of a way to beat him and did a 'random bs go' with megumi's technique that makes literally 0 sense and is just lazy writing.

The exact same thing is gonna happen with Sukuna. He's written himself into another dead end. Gojo's gonna get resurrected or something lmao

Gege had said in the past that either they all survive or only one of them does (regarding the 3 first years). So, in the back of my mind I have a feeling that Megumi will die in Sukunas body (and assuming Nobara is infact not coming back). Yuji will then have to reckon with the complete loss of everyone he held close, failing to honour his Grandfather dying wish to die surrounded by those he loves, but saving everyone else feom Sukuna.
idk just a feeling, dont flame me lol
