Just be patient. With how hard they’ve marketed it and how consistently dogshit shonen jump’s new releases have been in the past 2 years, they’ve put too many eggs into this basket to let it flop. Just give it some time for people to come around.

I’d encourage people who read this post to also check out Shojo Null (for tokyo ghoul fans) and Wild Strawberry because they all have similar vibes in terms of being well rounded stories. Much better than the usual new series fodder they’ve been peddling as of late.

I’ve seen a lot of decent series get axed, and a lot of mid ones get extended, but Kagurabachi has what it takes to become a staple if it hasn’t already.

If this series gets axed before its time, then imo all faith is lost.

I’m not sure if the number of MAL members would affect if it is axed or not; I think it depends more on the Japanese market and how they take to a series.

I use Jajanken to track SJ rankings and overall Kagurabachi seems neither too high nor too low, but it has been trending lower over time.

I hope Martial Master Asumi survives but it doesn’t look great.
