Is this from an anime-watcher pov?
Personally, I watched both seasons and read the manga. Imo, Sakuragawa receiprocates her feelings through his devotion to her. She gave him a sense of worthiness that his previous relationship didn’t. She made him happy far more than his previous experiences.

The manga shows more relationship development and cute interactions between Kotoko and Kuro that you won't see in the anime. Maybe after reading the manga, you'll appreciate Kotoko's character more. How she differs from the previous girls in Kuro's life and why she's best girl.

I'll try reading it then.

I'm going to try reading it. I normally enjoy the manga WAY more. and I know that the animes can't fit everything into them, but just from what I have seen, it feels like I am just watching someone who feels indifferent being in the "relationship". also when she brings up that he's her boyfriend, he always makes a comment about how he wouldn't consider himself as so.

From an anime only POV, I’m still not even 100% sure if they’re actually together. He seems so uninterested or even annoyed by her but they throw in one scene every once in awhile that somewhat hints at it being an actual relationship and not just her delusions or her forcing him.
She’s constantly talking about their lewd activities, which obviously upsets him that she shares, but at the same time he tells people that he’s not her boyfriend. It feels so forced. Like the only reason he’s “with” her is because he doesn’t think anyone else would like him, even though he doesn’t like her.
He shows way more affection, attention, and interest towards his ex and his cousin while he’s supposedly dating her. They don’t even really explain why they like each other except that she uses him for his powers and she wore him down.
