 Synopsis They say every dog has his day. That's especially true for our protagonist, who was just turned into a dog and now lives every day under the care of his crush, Inukai-san! She happily dotes on her new companion, and while he wants to return to human form someday, there's something wonderful about being cared for by the person he loves. |

| Before this aired, I had already read a few chapters of the manga. This being a fan service show is going to be censored when it comes to nudity but at least we got to enjoy the nice strip show. Also is this girl a yandere or does she hate her mother that much that she gets yandere eyes? |
| Episode 1 This feels just like Dog and Scissors in which the MC ends up becoming a dog (while in that show he died and was reincarnated as a dog, this one hasn't explained how the MC became that way), and ends up being the pet of somebody he looks up to. But unlike with that show, it's all about the fanservice and the one known as Pochita doesn't have to put up with a sadistic psycho who doubles as a bestselling author. Being half-length certainly makes this much easier to watch, but that bath scene lasted way too long, especially with some of it censored. That said, I'm curious about the everybody's backgrounds, and even with fanservice overload I can handle it. |

| Episode 2 And now, Pochita goes out for a walk. While he wants to get back home and try to figure out exactly how he became this way, there's not much he can do about it in a dog's body. And of course, there's more fanservice as his nose gets stuck inside of Inukai's panties, all while he needs to take a leak with Inukai capturing it on camera. It's a tough life there even though he gets to be with his crush from school. |
| This dude is really taking the situation remarkably well and doesn't seem to realize he's in the grips of some sort of serial dog rapist/murderer who has been passing down the same collar from dog to dog whenever the dog gets too big and isn't cute anymore. |
| Episode 3 Here comes the cat lover Nekotani, who is not too fond of dogs. A centipede ends up going under her shirt, so Pochita is trying to get it out, and ends up having to get a peak at her lingerie. Of course, that sends the wrong message to Inukai when she comes and hits her foot on the wall. This show continues to really emphasize the fanservice there as there's just no way of Pochita letting Inukai know that he still has the mind of a schoolboy that's the same age as she is. |

This show summed up in one image: I'm not sure about the accuracy of the translation, but I'd like to think that the way it's phrased is a tip-off that the translators are as weirded/creeped out as the rest of us are by the whole show. |

| Episode 4 There's no such device that can translate dog, yet, so that cheap toy was not going to work at all. So Pochita's next scheme to get home and hopefully become human again is to order a package, have it delivered at Nekotani's place when Inukai is over there studying, and then run out the door. Of course, that plan is simply delusional seeing that to do that he will need to actually order something, and through Inukai's phone in which only she can unlock. But somehow he managed to get into her phone. It will be interesting to see how the tutor session goes. |

| Episode 5 Pochita's scheme was pretty delusional, but somehow it worked, and now he's back in his room. But what awaits him there is Tsukishiro, who is one of the few friends he had at school when he was a boy. She's somebody who definitely likes to rub it in as she searches every corner of his room to find stuff like porn mags and what not. Pochita could have found a better hiding place than underneath her dress, but nevertheless he's finally home. At least until Tsukishiro gives him back to Inukai or something. |

| Episode 6 So it turns out that Tsukishiro is in love with Pochita as a boy. It starts to rain, and she ends up catching a fever. Seeing that keeping her wet clothes on is a bad thing that Pochita ends up stripping her naked, though that poses a new set of problems as he can't put on a new set of clothes. While taking the dress off is one thing, her underwear is another thing entirely. Next time, Pochita's girlfriend as a human meets his girlfriend as a dog in what figures to be an intense confrontation. |

| Episode 7 So it turns out that Pochita turned into a dog due to a drug some girl gave to him as Valentine's Day chocolate, which is not the same girl as the one who actually gave it to him. As for who Pochita goes home with, Inukai and Tsukishiro duke it out by whose panties Pochita goes to. While Pochita chose Tsukishiro, that's because she cheated by using a bone. So by default, Inukai wins, as if it weren't obvious already as Pochita only love Tsukishiro as a human. |

| Episode 8 Pochita goes to school hoping to seek out that girl again to turn him back. But getting away proves to be quite difficult as Inukai has been paying attention to him rather than her schoolwork. And then that mad scientist passes by while Inukai's class was thinking about ideas for the festival, and he draws a crowd much to his chagrin. At least it led to the idea of doing a dog cafe, but nevertheless the critical moment is here with the mad scientist in sight. Should be interesting to see how this encounter goes. |

| Episode 9 So this Pochita is the second dog Inukai had with the names as her previous Pochita died not too long ago. Ever since then she has been depressed. But ever since this Pochita came into her life she has been back to being the cheerful girl she used to be. And Nekotani wasn't always afraid of dogs as well. Seems to me that Pochita might want to think twice about turning back into a boy seeing that he's the reason why Inukai is upright. Just when it looked like things were simple for Pochita, now he's faced with this dilemma. And in the meantime, Nekotani ends up losing her skirt after squirting glue on it and Pochita's paw getting stuck on it in preparations for the festival. |
| Episode 10 Preparations for the culture festival continue as Nekotani gets chased by dogs, and she ends up taking a dip as Pochita steers her towards the swimming pool to get away from those other dogs. After changing clothes and drying out, Tsukishiro comes in and makes a bet with Inukai as she's doing a bunny cafe. So Pochita will have to stick around with whoever's class gets more in sales as those two are fighting over the dog. Things have really gotten out of hand, first with Nekotani running around skirtless, and now Tsukishiro is throwing the gauntlet. All while there's still a mad scientist that Pochita needs to see as that's why he went to school. |
| Episode 11 Here comes the mad scientist who turned an unsuspecting boy into the dog Pochita as Sakihara visits the dog cafe, and Pochita follows her to her secret lab. Business didn't get off to a flying start, but when the dogs did foot baths, that's when customers started coming over to the dog cafe just when it looked like the bunny cafe was getting everybody. One more episode left to go as the moment has come when Pochita can return to being a human, or not. |
| This was the first ep where it felt like there really was some animal abuse going on here. Making all those dogs lick people's feet? yikes. So now Inukai is embarrassed that he's looking up her dress? With all the stuff she did before? I guess this was the foot fetish ep and dog kun must have a foot fetish himself since he has no issues with licking the feet of random high school girls when he wouldn't lick Inukai in, uh, other places, in earlier episodes. |

| Episode 12 (Finale) And now, Pochita confronts the mad scientist who turned him into a dog as Sakihara explains that she had been spying on him this whole time. She has a device that is able to translate his thought, and the way to turn back into a human is by kissing. In the end, he stays a dog living under Inukai's care seeing that he's the respectful kind of guy, er, dog seeing that he doesn't want to steal anybody's first kiss, and not to mention he doesn't want Inukai returning to the wreck she was when the first Pochita died. And of course, it ends with some big-time fanservice. Disappointed with the way it ended seeing that he never turned back into a human and I was hoping to see him being able to switch between forms, but at the very least I got some questions answered. Final Thoughts This show is all about mindless fanservice and a dumb concept. The characters are far from likable all while the show's production values are pretty bad. That said, this show does have some good things in that it has a decent story and the fact that it's only half-length makes this show much easier to watch than it otherwise would have been. And the show managed to give this show some solid characterization and make them more complex than they have the right to be. But in the grand scheme of things, this is a show designed for a specific audience, and it does just that. Grade: D (4/10) |
