i think it his personality might be like this cause of how he was always praised and got everyones attention as a child. so also seeing deku keep getting better like this makes him go nuts, cause he doesnt know how he just does it. idk if that explains his inferior complex, but id say that explains why he is the way he is in the show

When growing up, he's always had a high opinion of himself and his capabilities. Bakugo was talking about big plans from a young age, having his own agency and surpassing his big idol All Might. The reality of quite obviously NOT being the absolute number one when entering UA, and everyone else seeing it too, hit him hard. Not only did Bakugo not win against Midoriya (in the 2 "villains" vs 2 "heroes" practical lesson in S1), he also had to admit other classmates were superior to him as well (namely Todoroki and Yaoyorozu). He genuinely does want to be the best and he's putting in the effort to achieve this goal. Going to bed early, having good grades, improving his body and quirk, thinking outside the box. The screaming and shouting and generally "explosive temperament" is something he got from his mother. We briefly saw them interact when the Bakugo family was visited by All Might (after the kidnapping, to ask about moving into the dorms in S3). During the remedial lesson with the little kids in S4, he suggests hitting them to get them to comply. Todoroki says that's not an option, Bakugo answers it's how he was raised himself. This "tough love" has always been a reality for him, it was also the main reason he failed the license exam in the first place. So he's starting to realize that this too is something he needs to improve on, even though it's not easy to do a complete 180 on your whole personality. We can see him put in more effort (the class A vs class B fights, the meetings with All Might and Midoriya in S5) while still undoubtedly remaining himself. His views on Midoriya start shifting as well. Bakugos disdain for him had kept growing because he sincerely believed that it was indeed a mutual feeling, that Midoriya was mocking and looking down in him. If this good for nothing normie Deku thought he was somehow better than Bakugo, then what would that say about him? He tried to keep the guy down, show him his place, as a way of reassuring himself. I won't say anything further since we were asked not to spoil anything. You should really go watch S6 :)

Bakugo named from Bakudan (explosion) as well as his quirk he is also short tempered and very impulsive. He admired All Might same as Deku and has dream to overcome All Might which means he has to be better from anyone. Even though lot people see him as kid with superiority complex, the intention he has is very pure and kind it just he can't deliver it very well.

Lot of people see him as bully because the way he acted towards Deku when they were small, but for me it's normal for kids to pointed out or discriminate people who are not the same with them (because they are kids and not know what's good or bad), I mean it's probably happened when they were under 10 yo...

So basically he is not goody to shoes hero, might as well categorized as anti-hero, even though I get it lot of people hate impulsive characters, but he is not bad. He is Deku's rival with very opposite characteristics while Deku is very cunning and thinking a lot, Bakugo is very impulsive and short tempered.

The main issue with Bakugo is that he was coddled by his teachers before high school. So it never occurred to him that everyone in high school wouldn't love him and be endlessly praising him. Above all other factors tho, is that he's a child, and he's immature as children are.

I’m not part of the crazy MHA fandom, but when I started watching MHA I first hated Bakugo. He is now my favorite character after watching season 2. I always wondered why and here are my reasons

First off MhA would suck without this character. He is down right hilarious, complicated (like Zuko from ATLA), and his quirk is awesome.

Now the reason why Bakugo is the way he is is simple. He gets his anger and temper from his Mom. That is just how he grew up. Also with an explosive quirk it kind of fits his personality.

But overall. Bakugo is a very good person. He truly wants to be a good hero. He wants to help and save others. He is just as determined or maybe more than Deku. The reason why he doesn’t like Deku is because he legit thought that Deku was hiding his powers and making fun of him behind his back. So now think if you were in his shoes. Everything you think you achieved when you were younger, and all of a sudden it all feels like it was a lie.
All the praises, being the best, the accolades, and then all of a sudden it was all stripped from you. That is how he feels when he entered UA. Because there are multiple people just as strong as him and the weakest who he thinks is Deku all of a sudden is on equal par and better? That would mess up anyone’s mind mentally and emotionally. This kid literally wants to be the best and it’s not all gifted to him. He works very hard. But you slowly start seeing him break more and more after the tourny, the camp, and the license.

Then because of what happens in season 3. He literally feels like it is his fault for certain events that happened because he was too weak. That is a lot of emotions to hold on to for a high school boy!

Sorry for the long message. But overall, he is the most in-depth character in the show :) thanks for reading

So I read this a long time ago and it’s really interesting, so thought I’d share:

“Bakugou's anger and constant adrenaline is his body's way of dealing with his quirk and keeping him alive. Because nitroglycerin can lower a person's heart rate dramatically, so if he's not constantly stressed he would literally pass out. Would also make sense cuz he only started being so angry all the time after his quirk manifested”

Just like most of the characters in the show, he goes through some good development.
Bakugo is loud and angry all of the time. He has a superiority complex for sure.
His anger and rashness comes from his Mom, who is really similar to her son.
Bakugo has a flashy quirk and has always had high goals. He has always wanted to be a hero and idolized All Might. However, he thinks that being a good hero means you always win.
His teachers in middle school allowed his rude behavior and essentially encouraged his mistreatment of Mydoria.
Throughout the series, there are many instances that knock him down. The show does a good job of "show don't tell", with his development. He makes good friends and respects his classmates and other heroes. Not to say his personality necessarily changes. He is still a hot-head. But he respects others and works hard to be a good hero.
