In this threat, I want to discuss what the role of Yhwach is. Since, the WSJ editor forced Kubo to rush to the end, we never got a proper explanation of Yhwach as a character. I really need help, since I can not wrap by head around it.

I think he is suppose to be a 'False Christ'. He took the name of people God and gave a variation of it to himself. He was just the biggest chunk of Soul King that fell. His power gave people the false of salvation but in fact he was giving things on a interest which can be seen as usury. This make sense, because his name is similar to the name of the god of Israel. And Jews are accused of committing usury a lot.

For reference: Interest is a percentage fee you pay your lender for a loan, while usury is the act of charging excessive interest rates that are unfair to borrowers.

His deriving his name after a real name is similar to the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad deriving his name after Ahmed. Which is the prophesied name of the region. Something people use to claim Prophet Muhammad is the false Christ like here Yhwach is. But by Islam Muhammad was never the False Christ because in Quran, Jesus is going to come back the same way in the Bible. So, it contradict everything unless we assume this just Kubo choice which have nothing to do with the whole Prophet Muhammad role in Abrahamic religion.

But the things getting confusing when you realize the fake 'Kingdom of Heaven' he is suppose to bring if he is the Anti-Christ was actually the original world. Something the rebel angels (Shinigami) partitioned.

SOOOOOOOOOO, who is the bad guy again?

I want to ask: Does the crucifixion of Christ have connect to this? We need to remember the 3rd Germany of Hitler took many of it's fashion decision inspired from Roman legionaries. Something also seen in the Quincy with their HUGO BOSS style. Then does it mean, the Christianization of Rome is also connect in this story?

It does seem like Kubo took inspiration from many religions and ethnics but I dont think it can be compared to just the prophets of different religions. I dont think there are any connections with the Islamic religion in this at all. Both Muhammad and Ahmad mean Praiseworthy. Muslims do believe that there is one immortal god (Monotheism) and they believe that Hazrat Isa (Jesus) and Hazrat Muhammad were the Prophet/Messenger of Allah. They believe that neither of them were god but were human beings. They also believe that Jesus will one day come back before the day of judgment because he was never killed cause people cant do anything if God doesn't want them to.

These things contradict the connection of Yhwach with Islam but I think that it is much more heavily inspired by Jews and Christianity. Even Yhwach comes from the name of Jewish god.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

So, we can conclude that he was not inspired from Islam for sure.

Hmmm yes one could say that it wasn't heavily inspired by Islam. There might be some elements here there but Yhwach doesn't seem like he is inspired by Islam at all.
