I started watching this anime because I wanted some "oldy" weird school anime and the 2006 season is really close to what I was looking for, however, I know that there's an arc in this season that consist of an episode loop with minor differencies.

Should I watch all of it? Should I watch a specific episode? Skipping it will make me not understand something about the movie?

Have in mind that I usually watch like 3 or 4 episodes per day.

You should only watch first and last.
You can watch also second for comparison.
There is absolutely no reason to watch all of them, because differencrs are literally just camera angles and pieces of clothings.

If you started watching the anime and enjoying it why do you want to skip it in the first place? You don't make sense.
Because as I said, I heard that it consist of 8 episodes that are literally the same thing but with minor differencies and a lot of people hate it so I wanted to get more information about it. If you're not going to give a decent answer I'd appreciate it if you didn't answer

watch only episode 1 and 8. Everything else is the same and the experience is agonizing. I think this is on purpose, but the experience is not worth it.

imagine not watching it all, pretty lame. at least watch more than two episodes of it so you get the point if you want to skip it so bad (despite watching none of it so far)

I say that if you’re planning to watch the movie after season two you should watch all of Endless Eight because the cause of the movie is how Endless Eight affected one of the characters and it helps if you can relate to the character and what they’ve been through. If you are not planning to watch the movie then I recommend watching the first and last episode of the arc as well as one from the middle of the arc even if it is worth experiencing the whole arc.

ok thank you, I'll probably watch episodes 1 and 2, if I like them I will continue until I get tired and then I'll watch ep 8.

Definitely watch all eight, its how it was meant to be viewed. Nothing will ever capture the experience of watching one episode a week the summer it aired, it was unlike anything I've experienced since. Its also the only way to even approach getting into the mindset of some of the characters.

I came to appreciate all the work put into it, just to show all the different camera angles of the same story in eight different eps.

Why not? It's painful but memorable. It really won't be worth it but worth it at the same time.

For me personally it completely turned me off of the series and I really enjoyed the first season. The first and the last episodes of the arc is more than enough to get the point.

Join us. Watch it all. Don’t turn away from the agony.

For best results, don’t binge it. Watch one episode per week, just like we did in the old days.

Nah you should binge it so your mind numbs, your eyes glaze over, and you begin to drool from the corner of your mouth. That's how REAL anime fans watch. /s

Its up to you whether or not you do but personally I’d say that watching them helps to add to the show. Its slow, its agonising and you just want it to end however I think it helps relate wit the characters more when you think about how they also experience that exact thing you are just on a massively larger scale

Also I already recommended you watch half, if not all of them, but I think it is best done in a marathon or two. That is how I experienced it and I thought it was fantastic seeing them so close together.

I agree with what everyone else said just watch episode 1 and the 8th episode, the rest u can just skip because it’s the same thing over and over again except different colored swimsuits so if that intrigues you that much, be my guest. Other than that, u don’t need to.

I watched endless eight on 8x speed 😆

You can just watch the first and the last episodes
If you are from South East Asia, then I request you, when you will start an anime, you search if it is available on Muse Asia and Ani-one Asia, before looking through piracy websites

No you should not. As someone else said, just watch the first and last episode. I saw all 8, and the differences were soooo minor. Literally no point in watching them

If you don’t want to watch all of it just watch 1,2 and 8 . You can watch the beginning of each of the other episodes to see the changes such as the different color scheme. The swimsuits change and the masks.

Its designed to make you really feel the pain of going through the same thing over and over again so I guess if you want the full experience then yeah, but I watched the whole thing and it was genuinely boring so just keep that in mind

If you really want to, watch first episode of Endless Eight and last episode of Endless Eight. Not all 8 episode.

i blame production for naming every episode as "endless eight" because it ruins your excitement. i remember the place where I watched those eight episode, they don't had any episode names so it was annoying at first but worth the build up cause I don't know when it was going to end. but if you name them as endless eight then you sure know on 8th episode it's gonna end.
now i won't suggest to watch all episodes cause you sure know on 8th episode it's the end. but if you don't know their episode names like they are called as "endless eight" then watch all.

Truth be told, I really enjoyed watching every single episode. It really helps to put you in the place of the protagonist with the constant repetition, and makes the payoff of the ending all the more satisfying. Please dont skip!

I watched all of the 8, I would say that it’s important to understand how Nagato fells having to repeat the loops all those time.
I fell like this arc is important for her character development.

Endless eight as a whole was the best part of Season 2 imo. It wasn’t particularly entertaining and I don’t like the fake out ending, though the rhythm I got into by pacing myself made it one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had while watching a TV show.

Still, kinda funny that there isn’t much of an inbetween for the people who had to wait a week to watch each episode back in 2009 and the people who binge the episodes now. Give all of them a go - just try not to burn yourself out.

to be honest yes, i watched haruhi in the chronological order and watched all eight episodes back to back and it added to the experience more. if you’re so bored you want to drop the show then you can skip them, but if you’re good then why not just watch them? just whatever you do don’t drop the show because of these 8, the ending is priceless and don’t forget to watch the movie (it’s the narrative peak)

Lol I watched the whole thing just for the heck of it. It made me feel like shit, but after all that repetition it made the ending even more impactful. But yeah, if you don’t wanna waste time you could just watch the first & last of them like everyone else suggested.

MAL is far from being my primary site for literature, which is why I’ve stopped doing single-chapter updates. Baka-Updates and two French sites are far superior—more detailed, complete, and less restrictive. They're perfect for manga, light novel, and book collectors like me, making the process much less stressful and tiring. -g-
