Try different genres. (Worked for me with hajime no ippo/haikyuu, sports anime)
Watch Movies (Not anime specifically).
Don't binge watch more than 2-3 episodes.
Go outside for a walk.
Take a break for about a week or more. (from anime, obviously)

You can try some classics or manga and if you still can't get into ,it doesn't matter as anime is not the only source of enjoyment.

In my opinion you either drop anime completely for a while and hope the urge to watch it returns or what works for me is rewatching an anime that gets me completely hyped up. Also sometimes when I’m feeling burnt out I get lucky and stumble across an anime that’s so good it reignites my passion and makes me want to keep going so I can find another hidden gem like it.

I'm going through it rn...so I started watching Game of Thrones and reading manga and LN's,I'm enjoying both.
Hope I'll be back to watching anime soon coz the way I'm really unable to watch even a simple romance anime is astonishing.

Been through a phase similar to that. What I did was just slowly go back to anime one series at a time but different genres. I also avoided critically acclaimed shows as I already know I'm gonna enjoy them so I tried to watch more new or underrated shows or trashily amazing shows. Spreading out to other mediums are okay too to lessen the fatigue in watching anime.

I would stop watching anime for a while.
You could try Manga instead, like mentioned above.
Or you can just try some other stuff like Korean drama series, breaking bad, prison break etc.
Maybe just watching some mainstream or niche shows that aren't animated will get your anime itch going again...

Try just taking a break or finding a new anime that you really like idk I’ve never burnt out from anime but I do take breaks sometimes when I just don’t feel like watching anything

Don’t watch anime for 3 months, then binge a show you find really interesting. Even manga might not let you get far enough away from the medium, so I would just get rid of it all for a few months.

Seasonals are the easiest way to get burnout, especially if you watch more than 10 a season.
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10

I took some time off anime by watching shows like Stranger Things season 4, Binging Umbrella Academy and Chilling adventures of Sabrina, Going out and interacting with people (ofcourse I wasn't a shut in to begin with)

You too can try some thing like this. Maybe go play some sports with your irl friends or go on a trek to a nearby hill or something.

i used to watch around 12 eps a day but now it’s like 1 maybe 2. what really helped was reading light novels and manga. also finding one show that you really really enjoy. i was kinda sick of anime then i watched the monogatari series and loved it. binged so many in day. almost got me out of burnout.

I was like that a couple weeks ago, then I found an anime that had everything I liked about previous anime (golden first experiences), and now I’m watching a lot again, nowadays I don’t give a f about user's MAL pretentious scores, if I find a show that is a 10 for me, that’s it, period.

I also kind of experience burnouts in the sense that for a week I might bingewatch and finish a few shows and catch up with the new shows and then I completely stop for a week or more to the point of not watching the anticipated next episodes of the season and then doing all of this over again.

I want to watch more but I don't feel like I want to all the time.

But I do try reading books and doing art while I 'take' time off anime.

Try some chill animes, I mean Slice of Life (or more specifically Iyashikei ones)...
It worked in my case.

Happened after finishing all of Fairy Tail and Naruto back to back. My tip, try focusing on other stuff aside from anime.

If that doesn’t work (which it didn’t for me), try new genres and maybe manga if you don’t read it already. Also start watching seasonal, it’s slower than binging but it’s still better in my opinion.

Idk how it is for other people but I just went through this and I got back into it just watching here and there. Basically just watch at your own pace. Getting recommendations from other people could help with this too. It really only takes one anime that you enjoy to get back into it. Good luck with the anime journey boys/girls

I had that issue, but it's only cause I was finding anime I really didn't like like that. They didn't hit, but when I watched One Piece it was almost like a fix😂. just focusing on a single anime that I loved for a while helped a lot. And now I don't force myself to watch anime anymore. I only watch what I'm genuinely enjoying

Watch currently airing anime. That forces you to watch one episode at a time so it’s easier to keep watching so long as you don’t fall behind

I’ve been feeling the same for a few months and all I did was took it easy and did different hobbies for a while like playing games or reading or whatever else you like to do. Also try taking your time with shows instead of trying to watch so many at a time it really helps. It makes you also appreciate the shows you watch more. Hope this helps ya out

Haven't had the issue really since I started in 2018, but I mainly kept it up by watching shows I enjoy there's lots out there. If I get bored I read manga there's lots that have not been adapted or got shitty adaptations. If that doesn't work I rewatch some favourites or watch blind reactions to it to get other perspectives and catch things others may see on a first view to get a broader view of the show.

Read Some manga or LN, or less binging anime and start watching seasonal more, so there's one week gap each episode to keep you hype.

Just ignore everything anime related for a while - “Touch grass” was what my friend “helpfully” wanted to tell you.

Same thing happened to me years ago. I’d seriously just suggest doing something else. You might just not end up watching anime anymore for years, and that’s perfectly fine. Watch some movies, find some different hobbies, hell I even read/listened through tons of books on audible/kindle. Took like a break since 2012 and then started watching again 2018.

you don't bro, it's kinda similar to age. like, you know how you could survive seemingly on nothing when you were a kid and now you think to yourself "how did i do that".

anime burnout is kinda the same, id say just go start your manga journey and say your goodbyes to anime

Simple but obvious answer: just find something else besides anime to watch. And when you go back to watching/binging anime, mix in other stuff and go slowly. Long breaks from anime don’t hurt either. Then it’s better once you go back to it after a while
