This isn’t even a movie that focuses on emotion. Not only is it not the best anime movie (not even close) it’s also not remotely close to being one of the most emotional

he might be talking about the heartbreaking fight of Rengoku...other than that ... nothing quite hit that emotional spot
Also the scene where he sees his family again was amazing

best stand alone i will say
your name
a silent voice

are probably greatest, i can't remember others name so don't come at me

and if we are talking about a movie which is a continuation of a series then

The disappearance of Suzumiya haruhi is the best continuation movie i have ever seen, mugen train is not even nere this masterpiece

not even close to the big anime movies, rengoku didn't had enough character development to feel actually sad or love him, it's a good movie but not even close to be mentioned as the best

firefly tomb is an example of an amazing anime movie

A movie doesn't have to make you cry to be "the best movie" or just your favorite, a movie has to make you enjoy yourself at all times to be a good movie, that's why I feel like there are much better movies like Perfect Blue, A Silent Voice , Ghost in the Shell, Bayonetta Bloody Fate, Words That Bubble Up Like Soda, and many more.

I’m not a Demon Slayer fan but I did like this movie. Though, calling this the best is a stretch. There are many movies better than this (IMO). Since you haven’t seen that many anime, I’d recommend you watch “Your Name”, it’s good for beginners and I’m sure you’ll like it. You should also watch “A Silent Voice” (personal favorite) and “I Want To Eat Your Pancreas”, these have a lot of emotional impact. If you ask why these are better than Mugen Train, just go ahead and watch them and you’ll understand.

Friends are nothing more than the people who you spend the fun, yet meaningless times with. When those times get rough, they aren’t there to support you.

I agree. The last 30 minutes were insane, however. But to say this movie is a masterpiece is a stretch. It's simply a good movie.

For some reason the title of the thread made me laugh, but overall the movie is ok at best it’s like a 6/10 for me. There’s better movies out there like kara no kyokai, made in abyss, kizumonogatari, and idk if this is gonna trigger ds fans but idc the new sao movie was way better than the ds movie and that’s me being honest. Also ds doesn’t come close to fate stay night heaven’s feel when it comes to fights.

In demon slayer, its my favourite arc because a character who we grew to like actually died.
This was different to the rest of the anime because none of the characters are dying because of bullshit plot armour.
I haven't watched enough to have an opinion but out of all the movies I've seen, Mugen train definately isn't the best. Some examples are Violet Evergarden Movie, Your Name, Weathering With You, and the films that everyone else in this thread recommended.

Your opinion isn't fact. So keep it to yourself.

I won't take someone's opinion on my favorite who has "Darling in the FranXX" in his favourites and only have watched 72 anime.
