Question about Amon as opposed to other demons (Spoiler for beginning)

Something I can't seem to understand is how come when other demons possess humans they have full control of them, as seen in Miki's case for example (when Gelmer possesses her) and every other time a demon possessed a human, and when Amon possesses Akira, Amon has zero control over Akira. Why is that?

It's mentioned in the show 🗿
I don't clearly remember but I think it was about Akira being pure hearted and thus being able to retain control.

Its almost like there are multiple devilmen in the show including miko and koda, almost like they literally explain that their wills are too strong, Akira still gives into demonic tendencies there’s literally episodes where he wanted to have sex but that’s impossible and was clearly overlooked right?

Depending on the version of Devilman there are various reasons. The main reason to become a Devilman is having a strong will and not give in primal instincts.

It’s been a little while since I watched this show, but I’m pretty sure the ones with strong wills kept their humanity, and would become devilmen instead of full-on devils. That’s not to say the devils inside of them were rendered nonexistent, since all the devilmen still ended up with drastically different personalities, proving that the devils inside of them still had some influence.

That's what a "Devilman" is in the show, You will gain demon powers but still have your human heart what changes tho is your personality based on how much influence the demon's personality has over yours that's why you see Akira acting waay different compared to his old self before turning and also why Miki changed her whole style and the way she talks but yet still wants to win the race and still act human just with a more bold personality. Think of it like a failed "take over" in parasyte the normal demons take over the whole thing just like parasyte but in Akira's case it's like Shinichi and Migi.

they explained it by saying Akira's heart is pure/too strong or something along those lines
