| U can watch dragon ball kai. it is basically edited version of dragon ball z without filler. "After which arc do I drop the manga?" - either read manga or watch anime. I don't think doing repeated transition between manga and anime will make a good experience. "I keep hearing people say that it becomes stale and repetitive at various points" - that is literally said by people who don't like dragon ball franchise kind of anime story. If u are one of them its better not watch it. I guess android/Cell arc (chapter 338-420) is most appreciated among people (even from above kind) I like saiyan/freeza arc (chapter 195-337) most. Personally every arc in dragon ball z is good. U can take it or leave it. |

| What Adampk said, stick to a single medium. And i'd warmly suggest you said medium to be the manga from the beginning TheCoolGuy82 said: Bruh, Dragon Ball don't have eveb that much filler compared to its successors. Also some fillers are fun like Goku and Piccolo driving episode, young master roshi etc. Agreed, a lot of the filler especially the slice-of-life ones weren't bad at all, even though the filler arcs like Garlic jr kinda were, and also the pacing problem is very true (but i agree it's far from being the worst adaptation) |
