Everything involving Medusa and the resurrection of the kishin is pretty much the same, a couple small changes happen with Arachne and Brew but that's still pretty close to the manga, everything else is 1000% anime original and it fucking blows

some parts are true to the manga but the anime basically just cut out a huge chunk of the story (with pretty interesting arcs) and put fillers instead

I look at it this way: The soul eater anime is a better done tpn season 2. After it drifts from the manga it has certain plot points that remain the same but mostly original. Is the manga better? Absolutely.

Just about to start the manga but from what I hear the finale is all anime only, just to confirm the ending in the anime sucks a lot.
