many talk about the number of chapters but don't talk about how long they are

some people have said that the remaining chapters are too long, reaching 100 or 200 pages.

so why is everyone talking about the "insufficient amount" of the chapters but not mentioning that they are too long and certainly have too much content for a full final season?

yup, ive seen many people saying that the studio might have some original content or even the reigen side story (i think) but they dont seem to realize that from chapter 96 until the end every chapter has between 150-200 pages. Its enough for 12 episodes

I haven't read Mob Psycho so maybe someone who has can provide some extra explanation, but even if you measure the amount of content remaining by number of volumes instead of number of chapters, there's a decent bit less material remaining compared to the other seasons.

From what I can tell, season 1 ends at chapter 50, which is a bit over halfway through volume 6. Season 2 ends at around chapter 91, which is the beginning of volume 13. The series has 16 volumes, which means that the first two seasons adapted around 6 volumes each and the third season is left with only 4 volumes remaining.

It seems like they would still need to stretch it out or add in a side story or two in order to not run out of content for 12 episodes, but as I said earlier, I haven't read the story for myself. I'd be really interested to know a manga reader's opinion about this.

they actually cut out some content from ritsu's arc from season 1 (there was more development on how ritsu got drunk with power), and some content from the stuff with minori and with claw in season 2's later half

so hopefully they'll be able to fully adapt the 4 volumes remaining without cutting out anything

They don't have to make it 12 episodes, there are plenty of anime with 10-11 episodes in a season.

10 episodes are the minimum amount of episodes for 1 cour. And from how long the chapters are, 10 is enough for this season.

Everythings on the director now so just wait for the official announcement , but if they added Reigen's special then that would be great

Really hope the reigen spinoff isnt included in season 3 since it fits more of an OVA type format and would be a really weird note to end off with.
