I mean the story is neat and fun to watch but whenever the characters state their age or their schools name or whatever it just kicks the immersion out of me I just can't help it , I mean how can a 12 or 15 years old start a freaking biker gang and go on and assault each other and rape women and do all kinda of ridicules sh*t and no one bothers to stop them not their parents not their teacher not the cops , The story would have been much better if the characters were some college aged young adults or something but the middle school setting is stretching it really hard.

If my memory serves me right, I think there's an event that leads to Akkun not appearing. I may be wrong tho.
"I'll kill everyone with my art, I'll do whatever it takes to make that happen."

Because middle schools thugs like this exist in real life. The college aged adults you're talking about most likely were already thugs during their middle school ages.

Because that was how life really was like back in the early 2000s era. Of course in reality the younger kids would just ride on the bikes of their older seniors in the gang but that would look kinda lame on-screen but the author really got a whole bunch of little details right such as the gang generations, the tendency for young boys to say "I'll kill you"to appear intimidating only to just beat them up instead, or for people to do stupid seemingly senseless stuff like Kazutora. And yes the reason Takemitchi never becomes a division leader unlike typical shounen main character plot armor until towards the very end when Chifuyu vouches for him is that you don't get an important position just by being friends with the leader as that could cause some real serious internal discord.

Well it's a show that was pretty damn true to the life that watching it brought about a huge amount of nostalgia

What kind of dystopian society would allow the existence of middle school biker thugs , this is totally new to me lol

They don't allow their existence. In Japan, there's nenshou which is somewhat a jail for kids like that. (iirc Kazutora said he went there)

If i am correct that rape shit was done by some adult gang like 18 19 i guess. And whole of the show is based on some JAPANESE society and just don't worry about family n all there are scenes about their families later.

Actually the author is one of the member in most biggest biker's gang in the late 90s so he maybe kinda experience that. But still tho some plot (beside the time travel) is not making any sense so yeah.
I like tsundere, especially Eris :)

Ken Wakui was in a gang himself, and I think that was while he was still in school, so I'm under the impression that he chose this setting because he can relate to it.

That's shounen at its peak, if you don't like it you can drop it as I do. I might read the manga instead because the manga readers said it retells the story better than the anime adaptation. At last, if you still find it unrealistic and dull, you may also try to read Out, which in my opinion, is one of the most underrated manga centred around delinquent.

I’m watching now & it’s killing me. What really got me was the tattoo in 5th grade. Story would’ve made so much more sense in college or something

If you're trying to wrap your head around the setting, it's a sign that you've lead a privileged life.

The idea that middle schoolers can get involved in gangs, turfs wars, and criminal activity is not farfetched at all even in Tokyo in the modern era of only 20 years ago. Maybe you should be intrigued enough to look up some documentaries of these happenings.

At the late 80's/ 90's and at early 2000 this really was a big thing, called Bosozoku in Japan. Obviously the whole culture in Japan is very different, I might be wrong here and please correct me but I think that the age of consent is 13, with parental permission girls can marry at the age of 16 and boys at 18 etc. And about biker gangs, at the age of 15 you can ride a motorcycle max 125cc (Mikey's first moped was 50cc), at 16 you can legally ride a relatively big motorcycles, max 400cc (for example Draken and Pah had 400cc bikes, Mikey had 250cc). And globally, young gang members is nothing new. Even here where I'm from (Northern Europe) we had/have small scale gangs, even tho the countries here are generally safe compared to some other countries in Europe/ around the world. I had classmates who started smoking and drinking at 13, drugs at 14, sexual affairs at 14, bikers at 15, criminal record at 15, juvie at 15 etc

its better that they are in middle school, a fully developed man's punch can end peoples life. at 14-15, punches wont be that lethal.

I think because he wants to make it clear to everyone. That high school is important to everyone's life. We are gaining knowledge there. I recently read a book hotel-on-the-corner-of-bitter-and-sweet. And no matter how it sounds, I gained knowledge by reading it. I think that's what it is for!

I don’t know why, maybe it was beneficial for him to do so. Who knows. In general, I am for the fact that the children went to high school. And for the fact that high school would be everywhere.
