Wow. Also wondered about that ... and though it as something with the parents. And after episod 3 I wondered a bit more. Cause it seemd like she did not lie - when talking to Yoshida's coworker.

But the explanation here given in the spoilers above ... seems pretty weak. At least - from what I have heard - the novel will end soon. (Last volume soon.) Then the plot won't drag on too long.

Sayu is a girl who is mentaly unstable, with trauma and who hates herself for what happened to her friend. Its not that Sayu is a slut, more like the girl is just broken. She didnt just decide one day to whore herself out, there were things that drove her to do that.

Also, Gotou is toxic as fuck. MC deserves better than that. Kouhai is a good girl though

Her mother must be blamed for everything that happened to Sayu, if her mother would sit together and listen to Sayu maybe Sayu would never be like this, also other characters who deserve to be cursed are the girls who bullied Yuuko they are not human, and also middle-aged bastards who take advantage by tricking plain high school girls who are hit by a lot of trouble.

Thanks to all for the great info to understand better this series.

I feel glad for Gotou and thankfull to Suzuki.

I feel bad for Sayu, also I think she was pretty stupid for doing what she did but as a kinda rich teenager, I understand how she wanted to be able to live by her owns.

I hate Mishima, she pisses me off a lot, she says good stuff but not in a good way, maybe because I always think on the best way to say what I want to say, expecting how the person Im talking will react

Sayu is also dumb enough to lead a blackmailer to her - and Yoshida's - house, which put Yoshida in danger and was guaranteed to end badly anyway. She could at least tell Yoshida there was a guy at work who knew her just in case, and then he would probably knew to forbid her to bring him over when she asked.
She's really not the sharpest tool in the shed, even for teenager. Compare her to Asami.
I don't liker Gotou backstory much, not because I dislike Gotou but because it seems very redundant.

well they didn't miss anything about her past, it was her decision not to go home because she was not strong enough with her mother's restraint, especially her mother who started accusing Sayu as the cause of Yuuko's death, she wants to feel being wanted by others, being appreciated by other, and by having sex with those bastard, she achieve that feeling. It's more like she sees herself in third person view, that's why she doesn't hesitate to use her body as bargain tools since she also hates her looks. that's the reason why Yoshida wanted to fix Sayu but in the end living together seemed to make Yoshida develop feelings for Sayu and vice Versa.

I was wondering the same thing. According to the LN readers Sayu's backstory was really sad. I guess the studio wanted to finish the show it one season. But it is quite unfortunate that they decided to cut out content.

The studio really wants to adapt the whole LN in one season even since they removed Kanda Ao (Yoshida ex Girlfriend) in the anime because she didn't really affect the storyline, but for Sayu's past part they made a fault so the impact was lost, so we really didn't feel sad for Sayu's past, this is different from reading LN. but indeed the decision that Sayu made to become a tool for all those bastards was stupid but on the other hand we feel how depressed she is.

yeah bro you are right 😂😂. She is spoil child of a rich family . So she don't want to do a part-time job . And I laugh so hard when I found the reason of her escape from home. Instant of escape she would have face the reality and explain everything to media it would solved all . And also she is not a child her age is 17 she know all things about society . And one more thing her brother also give her 300000 yen escape time .and what she did she just enjoy it in hotel for 2 months . In those 2 months if she want she can found a job for her place and food . But what she did she just want to a slut for easy money without any struggle 😂😂. What a sad story bro 😂😂😂 .
