Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway (light novel)
| sup guys, I just wanted to share why I firmly believe there is no prospect of a season two of this show. The reason is quite simple really, from the episode that's just aired (episode 7), Kanda Ao, the ex-girlfriend of Yoshida was only displayed as a picture, and according to Hige wo Soru's author's twitter, Kanda Ao will not be making a physical entrance into the show. This, changes, EVERYTHING. I'm not like angry about this decision, but it's common knowledge that if you are going to alter the original story in such a way which basically deletes one of the main girls in the original source, you cannot make a season two because it'll be somewhat of a domino effect. What you change in one season, will impact hard on a sequel season, and harder on the sequel to that, and so on. I think a good example of this is the Classroom of the Elite anime. From what I have heard, the story of that show had been changed so much, it's to the point that doing a sequel will be an extremely different to the original source, thus probability of it happening is almost nil. I see that effect happening with this show too probably. But what are your thoughts? Do you think Kanda Ao's (ex-gf of Yoshida if y'all forgot) deletion from the anime is major to the point a sequel is of zero chance? I seem to think so. |
| Doesn't seem like one will be necessary, at this rate. Not sure I'd be looking forward to another season of the Social Justice Army crying with conviction about things they demonstrably know nothing about anyway. |

| HigeHiro doesn't have enough material source to do a second season. The LN will have only 5 volumes. They could squeeze the rest of the third volume in the 8th episode, the 9th and 10th episode, considered from its title, it could be the adaptation from the fourth volume of LN, then the 11th-13th episode will be from the final volume, the fifth volume. Or, they could mash up the fourth and fifth volume of LN in the 9th-13th episodes. |
