| yeah the original (first) season was definitely the funniest i think i only lol'd maybe one or two times, but i'd be okay with that if they advanced the plot more but only the 6th episode did so. i can't tell right away if it's because it became formulaic or if it's because more time is spent on character development. either way if that's the direction they want to go i'm fine with it so long as (like gintama) it culminates in a satisfying ending that ties up loose ends. those being 1. graduation, 2. romance (not just saiki) 3. his brother's wild actions 4. perhaps a solid resolve in saiki in what he wants to do with his powers. as he said at the end of episode 6, basically he actually likes all of the trouble and i hope his new resolve to help his friends opens up a new more emotional part of him. i think so, but it's really not well shown. |
