Lmfaooo I don’t understand people like that man. But regardless the OP should ask questions as it will only enhance his investment in the story and its lore as well as improve his future experiences. I had some of the same questions too so Yh.

To address the Pandora situation I think she was addressed as the Witch of Vanity. From my current understanding there was actually 10 sins which was later reduced to 7. The extra ones being Sorrow, Apathy and Vanity / Vainglory. Vanity in particular was removed as it was similar and an example of Pride. We don’t really know what this means in the story yet but I would assume she still counts as a witch but is separate to the 7 we know of that represent the main 7 sins.

As far as who knows about subarus restarting Roswal knows of it roughly but doesn’t have an understanding of the details and conditions. I doubt Otto and Garfiel could of understood much of that conversation and Ram also hasnt been shown to know. It seems like Beatrice could possibly know due to her tome of wisdom but I don’t think we’ve had any real confirmation on that yet.

About Geuse: He was an antagonist in season and was known as Petelgeuse, Sin Archbishop of Sloth. He was finished by Subaru in a carriage driven by Otto after a previous fight that was Subaru and Julius against Petelgeuse. So he's dead in the present.

About Rem and Ram: They're from the Oni race and their village was attacked by the Witch Cult long ago. Roswaal is responsible for letting the Witch Cult attack (he didn't directly attack the village.) Rem started to attack Subaru in the mansion because his Witch's stench grows stronger everytime he comes back from death. Rem can sense that stench and for obvious reasons she has a grudge against the Witch Cult so she killed Subaru for that reason. Rem fell in love with Subaru (in the final loop of Arc II) after seeing everything he did to save everyone despite that he was so weak; She can still smell Subaru's stench but she doesn't think it makes Subaru a witch cultist anymore. Both Rem and Ram were "saved" by Roswaal after their village was burnt to a crisp. Ram is the only of the two who knows that Roswaal was responsible for the attack on their village, so she despised Roswaal for years. After years of being close to him she slowly grew to love him despite everything he had done and started to wish he didn't have that gospel he got from the Witch of Greed. She has a contract with Roswaal where she will be free to kill him if he fails to make the gospel's written true but otherwise would be forced to serve him. Since she truly believed the gospel was contradicted after Emilia passed her first trial, she was able to start attacking Roswaal with the goal of destroying the gospel. It's the first time she shows her true feelings toward Roswaal.

About Subaru's trials: He was able to clear the first trial easily, but he couldn't get past the second one. He could still retry again if he wanted but Echidna retrieved his qualification when he rejected her offer so now he can't.

About Emilia: We don't know who her mother is, however we know she's human, since Emilia's father is a full elf (Fortuna's brother) and Emilia herself is a half-elf.

About the witches: There are originally seven Witches of Sin just like there are seven deadly sins. These seven witches are all present in the tea parties. However, old Christianity had two more sins, the archaic sins of Vainglory and Melancholy. Re:Zero used them for Pandora, the Witch of Vainglory (or Vanity) and Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy. These two are relatively unknown from everyone and weren't present in the tea parties but are considered to be part of the Witches of Sin. If a character someday speaks about the "Witches of Sin", it excludes Pandora and Hector.

About this arc and Roswaal: This arc's "goal" is to liberate the Sanctuary and give the credits to Emilia so she gets more support in the race to the throne. The Great Rabbit is the cherry on top. Roswaal loves Echidna - who passed away - and currently follows the gospel (Book of Wisdom copy) to reach his goal of ????? by putting Emilia on the throne. In the first season, he mentioned that he wanted to kill the dragon Volcanica, but the reasons are unknown.

About the Sanctuary: It has multiple reasons for existing. First, it's a Sanctuary for the mixed bloods so they can have a place to live in peace. Second, it's the experimental grounds where the Witch of Greed tried to find a way to reach immortality. The barrier is to prevent dangerous people (Hector being in red and capital letters with a big cercle around his name) from approaching the Sanctuary.

About Subaru: Absolutely nobody knows about Subaru's Return by Death apart from Satella who gave it to him, Echidna who read his memories and Roswaal who was able to deduct that Subaru could reverse time thanks to his gospel and Subaru's capabilities in critical moments despite being very weak. However, Roswaal doesn't know that Subaru can only go back in time if he dies. Beatrice's Book of Wisdom is empty, so she has no way to know about Subaru's Return by Death.

If I'm not mistaken, Pandora and the guy who wanted to kill Echidna are witches, but they're not written in history, so the only known witch is seven.

Geuse was killed by Subaru back in S1.

Roswaal didn't attacked her village. He knew that the witch cult will attack Ram's village but he let that happen and didn't stopped the cult. His Tome probably instructed him to save the sisters.

The secret behind Emilia's parents hasn't been reveled yet and is probably one of the endgame questions. Re:Zero is a mystery anime after all and
a really long one.

That's the plot twist. We thought there were only 7 witches of Sin but there are 9. Melancholy and Vanity are the forgotten sins in history. How Pandora and Hector fits in the picture, what their motives are , what actually happened 400 years ago , all these questions will be answered sometime in the future by slow buildup. At this point we don't know who they are, and we are not supposed to know.

Roswaal wants to kill the dragon who helped to seal WoE 400 years ago. We know these facts from S1. What will Roswaal gain, what happens after that what are his true goals? All these are unknown. It's part of the mystery.

In this season, he's trying to reach his goal by following Echidna's Tome of Wisdom. He wants to strengthen Subaru's resolve so that he does his best to help Emilia to win the Royal Selection which will make her the Dragon's Priestess granting Emilia to meet the dragon. I'm assuming this will give Roswaal the chance to kill the Dragon to fulfill his goal. This was revealed in S1.

Roswaal weakened Emilia by making her dependent on Subaru and breaking the contract between Emilia and Puck. He hired the assassis who kills everyone in the mansion , used his magic skills to cause the snowing which attracts the Great Rabbits due to the mana who will kill everyone in the Sanctuary. This will force Subaru to make a decision, either choose the mansion or the Sanctuary. Roswaal wants Subaru to become like him and focus on one true goal which is helping Emilia and make her the ruler, no matter the sacrifices on his way.

Everything he does is what the book told him to do.He rely too much on it and doesn't use his own free will to achieve his goals. That's why Ram wants to free him from his current state by defeating him. She believes that the things on which we rely heavily is what becomes the cause of our doom.

Echidna was experimenting on immortality and Hector probably came to stop her by destroying the Sanctuary. There was no time so she used Ryuzu's core as a catalyst to quickly set the barrier and avoid him. We don't know what happened between them or after their encounter. The barrier was set up and can only be removed by attempting the three trials will will free the demi-humans.

Roswaal only knows that Subaru can time loop and their interactions made it clear that Roswaal knews Subaru is sus. It looks like Beatrice knows about his time looping as well. But nobody knows about how he does it or his RBD ability. The witches probably know that too. Nobody other than these people knows about his ability or time looping.

I believe this is all correct. But I think we’re now supposed to believe that Puck has something to do with Emilia’s mother. I don’t know if Puck is the mother some way or another or if it’s something else, but I believe that link is now beyond doubt. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t Emilia the child Puck continually refers to? I could be completely wrong but the connection between the two and Emilia’s mother seems clear.

Well, there are quite a few red herrings as you will see later on. No one is really sure right now who the biological parents are although there are theories.

Big thanks to everyone who answered. I don't know if this was answered in the anime and if I remember well there were no explanations for these ones but there are a few things that I have been confused with and they are mainly focused on archbishops.

First of all, what is their connection with the witches and is there any (during Emilia's first trial Echidna didn't react at all when she saw Regulus)? If not, how did they get their powers?

Is the only way to become one the same as what Geuse did (a human who came in contact with a witch factor)?
Which brings me to my next question, what is a witch factor? Is that something they purposely leave behind so they can create more archbishops? Can a witch control an archbishop of the same sin? Can there be more than one of the same sin or there can only spares?

How did Subaru become the Archbishop of Sloth? Is that what happens when you kill an archbishop? Also, when he wrote 'die' in Geuse's gospel, was that what actually finished him off?

Can anybody control majuus and how? (Meili controls them but isn't a witch...or is she?) Is there anything currently known about Elsa's assassin organization and who wanted to steal Emilia's insignia or was that Roswaal as well?

A few last ones, what are divine protections (just how can Reinhard be so strong), how somebody gets them and can Otto talk with majuus like the White Whale?

This ended up being a lot. I will really appreciate it if anybody has time to answer at least some of these and at an anime-only level but I wouldn't mind minor spoilers from the novel or maybe just info was it already answered in LN or not.
This series really grew on me from the first season but even more now so I am seriously considering reading the web novel.

I'll answer what I can

Witchcult is an organisation which follows the gospel that is given to them by Pandora probably.i don't think sinarchbishop have any connections with other witches since they were dead 400 years ago the only exception being Pandora. The reason no one's knows about her is probably because she can erase memory of her self in others people mind like she did with Emilia

In the WebNovels Echidna did react to Regulus authority.I don't remember what she said though.

Subaru isn't the sinarchbishop of sloth. He just has the authority of sloth that he got after killing Betelgeuse

Mabeast have horn if you break that u can control them.i could be wrong about this though. How Meili control them idk since I m still on arc 5 of the WN and haven't the read side story of Elsa and meili

The insignia incident was Roswall doing as well.

Divine Protections are blessings given to people at birth by the world.its rare to have more than 1 divine protection but Reinhard is an exception since he can ask for any divine protection.

Yes Otto can talk to mabeast like White Whale.

Sorry for my poor English.

Thanks, that was helpful!
