How Kayo Died Theory for Original Timeline (Spoilers Ahead)

Okay so I'm only 5 episodes into Erased but Kayo being a victim of the kidnapper seems very suspicious and fishy to me. A lot of the circumstances surrounding her death don't match up at all to the other 2 original victims who were kidnapped and murdered. The 1st revival Satoru went through also leaves me very suspicious. So here's what I think actually happened:

Kayo's mother beat her to death and then hid her body while it was still snowing. Because other kids started disappearing the police stopped suspecting her mom and instead suspected the serial kidnapper. This meant that her mom came off the hook and she was able to hide the body and any evidence of the beating.

Here's why I think this:
Kayo was still 10 years old when she originally disappeared whereas the other two victims were 11 years old.
Kayo was a girl whereas the other 2 victims were boys.
Kayo was a loner whereas the other 2 victims were quite popular and had a lot of friends. This means that Kayo would not have been missed as much as the other 2 victims.
Finally, we all know that Kayo's mom physically abused and tortured her. Relentlessly. She came to school late and always had a lot of bruising all over her body. Satoru even found her hiding in her shed completely covered in bruises.

With all that in mind, I truly believe that in the original timeline Kayo's mother killed her and used the serial kidnapper to cover it up.

This is all my own speculation but if anyone else has any other thoughts please let me know. But nicely please. Let's all be mature and respectful on here!

It says Spoiler ahead, but so far what you’re saying is speculation from your end.
Do you really want to continue the thread?
The reason why I’m asking is because:
1-) Your doubts are answered in the next 3 Episodes (You are currently in Episode 5)
2-) You cannot be given an answer without spoiling all the fun for you and yes nobody wants to be a huge dic-tator about it.
3-) For what it matters, you are very close to the major idea. Props for deduction skills.
My personal bias recommendation would be continue watching.
Regarding the original timeline the Anime speedruns a little, the manga shows some pieces that were skipped so at best everything is inferred by Satoru how the events occured, so in case your inquiry is not fully answered by the show you can check in the source material just to reconfirm if you got everything right.

Nice deduction skills overall, but one part. 2/3 victims were girls and the third one looked like a girl that’s why he was chosen.
