| Maybe try using 5G. On a serious note, if you can't connect with the characters then there are other anime to enjoy, I guess. I personally prefer villains in this series more anyway. Regulus and Petelgeuse are waifu. Although I know people in this fandom who don't give a shit about the characters and only watch it for lore and the mystery surrounding the Re:Zero world. |

| Even though I'm enjoying the anime I'm also having a hard time connecting to the characters as well, the only character I was able to connect to was Theresia Van Astrea, the backstory of Wilhelm and Theresia is the only thing that made me cry in the whole anime, Rem, Ram & Beatrice are also good candidates but I feel like something is missing for me to connect with them but if I have to choose I go with Rem. I can't connect with Emilia, for some reason I don't find her interesting at all but the last episode and her backstory made me like her a bit more but it's not enough to connect with her. Something about the backstory of Theresia and Wilhelm clicked on me, it was so good for me and the awesome sad music helped me connect in those moments, having a good sad OST is essential for me to be able to connect better with the characters. |

These stories exist to maybe form a connection with someone or not at all.I admit I am not a character guy, but I can't form emotional connection with any of the characters, they want us to feel sad for everyone . Otto was neglected and bullied , couldn't learn to talk for a long time and we are supposed to feel sad for him . Garf's mother dies and he is left alone in the sanctuary , now Betelgeuse and Emilia's aunt . Everyone has sad backstory and you have to feel sorry for everyone . But I don't feel a thing , I am just watching for the sake of watching. And if you don’t feel anything for anyone. You’re wasting your time here. There are other shows. |
