Frightening shows that you watched as a child

Did you watch any scary shows when you were young (~<12 years)? They don't have to be horror, just anything that you found really terrifying, assuming that they were also children's shows.

An Ant's Life - Probably the most traumatising movie I have ever seen. The caterpillar almost loses his life many times. The ant larvae were the scariest. This was before the years that I knew that praying mantises ate their mates and that geckos drop their tails... so even more scarring to see bug gore and cannibalism in a "kid's show".
The 30-ish minutes felt like hours. I decided to put myself through it again recently because it was so short, and I can say for a fact that even scenes that appeared for under 5 seconds would continuously stay with me because of how terrifying it was and I can say, as much as I now understand that it is natural for insects to do that, it is still terrifying. This is exactly why I decided to study animals jk.
It is the epitome of "so bad it's good". Fond yet scarring memories stay with this one. Honestly, if you want to be scarred for life from a movie, let children watch this "kids show".

The Trap Door - Also another show that I watched but I hardly remember much of it sadly, apart from it being claymation and the guy feeding this monster above, so that left an impact on me. Oh, and that spider, haha. This obviously wasn't anywhere near as terrifying as An Ant's Life, but it pretty much had a horror atmosphere to it from the beginning.

I ran into South Park at a very young age, because my mom thought it was a children's cartoon. scarred me for a bit.

But if you're talking about children shows, I'd say Fish Hooks. There was this one episode where the fish falls asleep and a parasite enters his brain. That kept me from sleeping for the next month.

Chucky, my parent though it was just a kid daily life with a play doll.

Turned out to be a worst nightmare and for some reason, I'm hooked.

There are still a few episodes of Doctor Who I never want to go back to because they scared the piss out of me as a kid. The Waters of Mars is the main one.

I also watched Trap Door as a kid, but I never found it particularly scary. It wasn't my favourite claymation thing, but it was alright.

Speaking of Doctor Who, the scariest aliens for me were the Adipose (that bathtub scene though... they are not cute), any episode with the Ood, and the episode where Amy turned into a doll. I am still terrified of the Weeping Angels but I've sort of become desensitized from them because I played a game that involved them.

I watched The Trap Door because my mother was a fan of it so we watched every season on DVD iirc. It is a comedy/horror according to Google, so yeah it makes sense why it wouldn't be scary. It is more so the ambience.

I can agree on that doll episode (I believe it's called Night Terrors), that's another one that I still refuse to watch a second time. I'm quite fond of the Ood, personally, but I get what you mean with the Weeping Angels, although it wasn't a game that desensitised me to them, it was just later episodes of the show not writing them very well.

The horror genre is a scam. Nothing good comes out of it and it didn’t really scare me, even as a child.
