So, currently, as it stands, i have the barebones of a couple of things mostly done in the club, difficult because i am working a fulltime job on the weekends, overtime on the weekdays, and working on twelve secondary projects. So in actuality the most progress i make comes from the breaks i have during my job, where i will jot down things i come up wih during the work. So, during it, i came up with, and polished(a little) an alternative to what i have been working on. And it should be relatively easy to convert what i have already done.
Idea one:
The darkness won. Eru fell, a rebellion rose up, but was completely overwhelmed when Synax was brought from the void. Two Dark lords now roam the face of earth. Krop Tor finally realizes something has gone wrong, and returns, bringing with him the Neverdark, and a tenth of his legion. Only to find it was too late. The ritual was almost complete. The celestial key had been turned, and the body of the black god was materializing. The genesis Prime couldnt make it in time, and so, in the ultimate of desperate moves, Krop Tor fired the Genesis exactly where it was. Eden. The heart of everything. The Genesis fires spread out across all of the Omniverse, every world, every time, burned away in the white fires of rebirth.
Krop Tor then Sacrificed himselfin order to heal the great wound that had caused the wars, the death; upon realizing this was the only way. Unfortunately, it wasnt so simple. Now, that time has caught back up to the detonation, the Darkness returns. Krop ors desperate sacrifice in vain, the Legion dissolved eons ago. Hell quakes in fear. Heaven splits off of reality in depair. And the fires of our last hope have dimmed. They have returned. But without the Angel of Damnation, what hope is left for our victory?
Three hundred years ago, the world was brought to its knees. Evil Incarnate rose up from the nothing, destroying millenia of human history, and all but a few of human lives. The only thing humanity could do was get out of its way. And it did. Krop Tor came, but it was too late. And he could do nothing. The dark god rose up, and made war with the light. The battle could be felt on all corners of creation, the ground shook. The air froze and burned rapidly. Until nothing. A pure and total silence fell. Was it over?
In Heaven, the gods dueled, until Death came. The distracted Arc Ven was the first to die, and Death became a God. He then killed Arc Veih, and held the twin powers inside of him. The Creator of the gods gave death a new power. His own omnipotence, and took the power of the gods. Rality didnt disintergrate. And instead, the Natural order was maintained behind the scenes by Death. Upon the death of the gods, Krop Tor was cured of his Affliction, and returned to heaven to rule in the abscence of their father. The darkness, no longer an enemy, reclaimed hell. The War was over.
However. the world that was left behind, this world began to recover. Three hundred years later, and the world has all but forgotten about the evils that came to them. The rift closed up, and the void was no longer accessible. But then came the day when the sun turned red,the sky blackened, and it rained blood. This was not the work of Heaven, Nor hell, nor the void. But this was a natural phenominon so rare, so incredibly rare, that in all of time, it isnt gauranteed that it would happen once. But it did.
In reality, there are typically three layers to everything. Or a multiple thereof.
In the mortal realms there are three layers. The Physical plane, the Astral plane, and then a third, normally inaccessible place called the stygian Veil. A place where oceans of blood surge in the sky, creatures of bile and vicsera roam eternally, hungry forever. This event, the Stygian Eclipse caused the Physical and Stygian Veils to overlap, bringing these grotesque monsters to the world. The only source of information ? An ugly, parasitic lifeform from this wretched place that calls itself Nidus. On the run from Dissection, one of Seven Gore Masters, it seeks shelter from the creatures that would eat its vertebrae.
this story would be about surviving the Stygian Eclipse rather than stopping it. Maybe hunting down Stygian Monsters for rank or reward, perhaps making deals with or slaying the Gore Masters, Dissection, Occulus, Masticate, Bile, Vore, Revulsion, Contagion
It would be a more relaxed pacing i think. The sotry would be more about the characters and their past, as well as how each character copes with each new abomination that emerges from the Veil.
Firstly, I'd like to point out that the latter idea looks far more developed than the former, which will naturally sway people's judgement in favour of it.
In any case, I'm fairly confident we need some kind of innovation in the RP community on MAL. After the Club feature having been disabled for so long, I feel like we need something alluring and unique to attract roleplayers to use this site.
Both ideas need to be processed and refined heavily before a proper decision can be made though, in my opinion. I will vote for the first idea to perhaps give some enticement for it to be expanded on.
Both of your ideas could use some correction, by the way. The formatting seems rushed and some sentences are phrased in a way that lacks clarity. Let me know if you'd like help with anything along those lines, considering that you're busy with work.
It looks more developed because it is longer. It's longer because it needed more explanation. Last light is just more of the same thing as here. Though if it is necessary, I can expand upon it a bit.
