Lets talk about trans, nb, non gender conforming characters who are...

- our favorites !!
- well/realistically portrayed !!
- have character arcs that deal with gender identity!!
- we head canon as or are coded as trans, nb, non gender conforming

and even talk about our own experiences/relationships with gender!!!

hey guys! Have any of you read/watched Princess Jellyfish? Its pretty cute and the characters are pretty likeable! I guess I wanted to talk about Kuranosuke's character in relation to gender identity! I think their story overall is reallllly interesting and unique when it comes to their gender identity. I head canon them as femme and genderqueer, just curious as to what others think !

Mito-san from Shounen Note! He's one of the choir members and a trans boy. He struggles with his body type and his feminine voice, wishing he had a deeper voice so that he could sing with the bass group. Although the arc about him was not very long, it was still amazing that there was trans representation on a wonderful manga like this!

Then there's also Misora-san from Shimanami Tasogare - born as a boy but really like to dress up in dresses, skirts and love make-up. It was mentioned that Misora-san is confused about their gender. A very mature and often sarcastic kid, who often teases the mc which I find it funny. The manga is still publishing so I'm looking forward to their development in the story! (My theory - could this mean that Misora-san is X-gender just like the mangaka? Is this character based off the author?)

Hmm there are alot of anime with "traps" however they are typically side characters, and/or added only for a comedic aspect....So rarely will you see an anime that actually discusses transgender issues. The Hourou Musuko type of anime is a very rare breed.

Honestly you would have an easier time finding that in a hentai....rather then an anime....provided you don't mind looking at cute non-threatening cartoon dicks lol.
