Cant remember what anime i watched a while back.

Not sure if this might be the right board to post on (forgive me if its the case) but i cant seem to remember its name. It involves a setting where these monsters are attacking humans, and the humans constructed huge black obelisk towers on the outskirts of the city to deter the monsters away. There are also these 'detectives' so to say that has these partners that wield extraordinary powers that for plot reasons, everybody seems to not like and treat them like crap.

I don't know what anime you're talking about, but searching up "obelisk towers and monsters" might be specific enough to see what you're looking for.
