Simple-both Yui and Yukinon can't properly tell their feeling to Hachiman. Yui is manipulative and Yukinon can't make her own decision; she has no willpower in her life.

Basically they both suck and Issiki Iroha is best girl.

They were all pretending that they didn't see the giant elephant in the room(feelings for each other and their problems) because it might destroy the relationships. So basically they put all the cards on the table. Basically it seems to be an agreement that they have to deal with their own problems before they can get into any relationship.

Thank you, finally i get what was going on.
Seriously they were overdoing this whole drama and nobody-tells-what-he-really-feels so much. From episode 8 onward everyone was only talking in metaphors and with meaning between the lines that I (and im glad i wasnt the only one) had no idea what was going on at some point.
Almost ruined this show for me.

Now the only thing thats left that could ruin it is Yukino wins.

Wataru is taking too much timefor this volume. If this isn't as big as vole 2 or 3 then all this waiting is bad. And the ending is same as in Light Novel for the series. We will find out what the request is in next volume. And I think at the end we may have a sad ending too like Hachiman endingwith no one and him going back to old ways with new insight of his experience in Service Club. Even though that would be heart wrenching for most of 8man fans but I think there's a possibility. And since the genre given to the series is romanace so I believe this may not happen and I myself want 8man to settle with someone who cherishes him.
And to be frank I would love to se more of Isshiki,as she is also a goo match for 8man. If she enters this love triangle for hachiman it would become more virulent and more open as we know Isshiki is ne of the most open personality of the Oregairu cast for her feelings. There have been many flags raised for Isshiki already so hope she joins the war soon.

I think watari has been working on a different project, that's why this volume isn't coming out as quickly as the previous ones.

he is either busy because of this new project or he doesn't know how to finish his own story so he's using this to fill time and come up with ideas LOL

Hi I wanna jump in here even if the post is old I wanna show what I think.

Throughout the season I started to think that the club was a representation of Hikki which is why they were always against him hurting himself (emotionally) and why they always tried so hard to keep the club alive, because it was the one thing that brought them together.
Obviously both the girls like him but were never clear with it to him.
That's why we have to think back to season 1 when the teacher decided to do the battle royale where the loser would have to do whatever the winner wants. The club surviving also means the competition still exists. They're both never clear but Yui says if she wins she'll take it all, and I thought that was maybe the hate/jealousy she would recieve from yukinon and also finally asking Hikki out.
The ending scene about yukinon to me leads to maybe a final arc or season. We've already had Yui and Hikki's request so to me it was the final request.

What's the meaning? Guess it's that Yukinon is the opposite of what Hikki thought she was, and Yui is the ideal strong woman that Hikki once placed on Yukinon
