Hi, could somebody recommend me a good, not localised, direct translation?
I started with a.f.k. , but it's uber shit. They even translated words like moe.
I could watch it in RAW, but I don't want to miss some jokes or references.
I saw Lucky☆Star the first time wtih [Elysium] and found it better, although I did rewatch it with [a.f.k.] so I can't decide since it's a long time I checked [Elysium] :3
I think they are better but not entirely sure :3

Thanks. Elysium actually edited a.f.k. subs and changed all their stupid mistranslations (like tsundere -> bipolar, moe - turn-ons, and other stupid american slang).

Judging by these [Elysium] really did a good job, with a.k.f. had alot more than just Americanized slangs, they had grammar spellings bad too and probably more :3
I agree totally that [Elysium] is the better choice than a.f.k, also good to know for future re watching or recommending it to people not familiar with Lucky Star ;3

honestly, if you want to know it as accurate as possible, you should study the language. sometimes it's awkward to try and translate things to English (and vice-versa) most of the corrections there seems mostly cosmetic (example: "indeed" -> "ok", "fried soba" -> "yakisoba"), though there were some strange translations (Japizza, seriously..?)
about the translation "If you don't hit ENTER, you won't talk."
probably better changed to: You can't talk if you don't hit Enter.
(there's a subtle difference in meaning here - can't vs won't)
or alternatively, If you don't hit enter, you won't be able to talk (though that's a bit long and maybe too grammatical)

by the by, someone already upped the original transcripts for all episodes, except the ova.
edit: Kagami the great seems like a pretty legit translation to me.
the sama at the end indicates the higher status, and is typically used to address an emperor. it's of course, also used to address customers as a sign of high respect.

the original is 萌えるな～
the な～ is of course only used to indicate emotion
according to oshiete goo, 萌える in this context is used to show that someone have a strong, unilateral affection, in this case for that character they were talking about.
