| Well I wouldn't really call it a contest since if you win, you get absolutely nothing. I think it of as an opportunity for people to strive for something. At the moment I feel very unmotivated about playing Touhou that I'm just making crap runs and convince myself I'm satisfied. Well anyway, allow me to start it off~ Today I got a new high score on IN normal, and decided to make this topic here. I have no idea if anyone will join or not, but we'll see. I hope people will join! Replay I posted a picture of the high score and the replay of it. You don't need to provide a replay if you don't want to of course, just a picture will be fine. Sometimes watching replays help though, and I personally enjoy seeing how other people do certain spell cards. Oh yeah, one more thing I forgot to mention. Under no circumstances is killuan allowed to participate. >:( |

| Here's mine: I've only 1cc'd the game twice (Final B) in Normal, only with the Border Team. The other one has a higher score, but with 3.4% frames dropped. Then, there's also this time I 1cc'd Final A, I had higher score than this... Also, what are your keyboard sensitivity settings? There are some spell cards or some hard bullet patterns that make me lose control of the character. This usually ends with me running straight into a bullet. Finally, depending on the conditions you played under, the result is multiplied by these modifiers, rounded down to the nearest 10: 4 Initial Lives: x 0.5 5 Initial Lives: x 0.2 6 Initial Lives: x 0.1 7 Initial Lives: x 0.05 Easy Difficulty: x 0.5 Normal Difficulty: x 1.0 Hard Difficulty: x 1.2 Lunatic Difficulty: x 1.5 Extra Difficulty: x 2.0 overfunk, Keine's last spell is very easy. Watch my replay to see just how easy it is lol. Otherwise, your no focus skills are impressive~ I wish I could work Reimu like you do. Nice job on Marisa's last spell too. I've yet to pull that one off successfully. |

As for the Final Spark, I've only done that twice, that was the first, sort of miracle. The other was on practice, I spent a good 1-2 hours and 60 tries to get a strategy. I did another play just right now, starting with 3 lives: I didn't really think I could finish, but I did a really good run... until I dumbed down in level 5. I'm not usually that good against Marisa and usually not that bad against the Inaba. As for the other thing, I usually go with unfocused Reimu it's because I suck at grazing, and that was the only way I could gather enough Time Orbs. I wouldn't be able to gather enough otherwise. :) Edit: Was able to do somewhat better run this time. However, still doing stupid mistakes here and there as usual. :) Here is the replay. |

| Damn, I was beaten. And for not that much. Must have been that Rutle survived with more lives. I tried one more time, but with the Ghost team, one of the three I'm not very good with. I did great considering they are harder to use. Lost to Kaguya, though. Then again, I'd never gotten to Kaguya with anyone else. Replay Sitha, Reimu is hell to beat. Especially when I suck that bad with the Magic and Scarlet teams. I did try an interesting thing. I found out that Reimu is easier to beat with... Reimu. I just discovered that 4A was unlocked in practice mode, and I tried. I got higher score than when I practice 4B... For the Lulz. |

| Gah, Marisa is a bit too fast for me, I keep running into bullets. I don't really want to play with anything else though since all I really want from a character is strong frontal attack. Maybe playing score is not really my thing, everytime I manage to get somewhat decent score from the first stages I crumble under the pressure and start making stupid mistakes and I almost always fail to deathbomb :( Comparing to what I see in replays it would seem to me that beating Reimu in 4A would be a lot easier than Marisa in 4B, and now after some practising I remember darn well why I was on a break from playing shooters. I just can't seem to keep looking at my character but my sight wanders and that results in me collecting stray bullets, it's quite damn frustrating since I'm not that good to begin with and I need all the lives and bombs for the harder patterns :/ Ah well, guess I'll keep on IN for a while now, maybe I'll manage to get a decent result for posting someday soon. |

| Yeah, high score runs are frustrating if you don't do well. I'm self destructing on Marisa a lot, and it's pretty annoying. If I had a cat.. Well, I wouldn't have one anymore. |
| Yeah Marisa is a pain. I used to try to get through it by unfocused, but that was just stupid. Once I switched to focused I got much better results and died less. |

It was really crappy though... Dying at some place that I shouldn't be.... So it's a crappy run.... I'll try more later...if I have time...
