| Yumi would appear instantaneously in a farm, luckily with all her limbs intact. "Just one kid?" A farmer spoke gruffly from behind her. "Well gotta work with the crops yer given. The birds took off in that direction. Well, go on, get to work." The area he pointed at was a wide, flat, pasture. All 5 of the chickens were easily visible, but the open area would make it easy for them to run around. |
| Yumi She blinked a couple of times, feeling kinda weird after instantly appearing like that. She shook her head and jumped when she heard a voice behind her. She turned back to see the farmer. "Ah, don't worry mister! I'll get the job done in no time!" She smiled at him then looked at the direction he pointed. She could see all five chickens. She smiled. This will be easy! I'll catch them one by one. She took a step but stopped. "Ah, but where do I put the chickens after I catch them mister?" |

| The farmer scratched his scruff beard. "Well, the er coop is still in shambles. Can't you just hold them or something. I've got some rope on that fence over there too. Just improvise you know?" The chickens were just minding there own business, and they didn't seem to notice Yumi yet. The closest one had its back turned to her and it was pecking at the grass. |

| Yumi Yumi stood there and thought about it for a minute. She looked at the farmer and nodded her head. "Alright mister! Leave it to me then!" She looked down at her shadow and it moved away from her and joined with the farmers shadow to make one bigger shadow. She decided to get the chickens in order of whichever one was closest to her. Without even moving, she sent her shadow out to the chicken closest to her. It combined with the chicken's shadow and grabbed on to the chickens feet, holding it securely. Yumi smiled. "One down!" The shadow that was holding the chicken moved, taking the chicken along with it. (Think of moving a blanket with a child on top of it XD) |

| The chicken looked very confused, and it had ever right to be! It started flapping it's wings wildly, but couldn't get free. Still, the ruckus it made alerted the other chicken which all ran off in different directions, or at least they did at first. The 4 runaways obviously didn't know what they were running away from, and ended up going in circles. One of them even stepped onto the shadow and captured itself. |
| Yumi She laughed when one of the chickens got itself caught. "Aww the little cutie." She shook her head and continued to catch the other chickens. While the shadow was going after the third Chiron, Yumi spoke. "Mister, I know you said you have rope, but I'm afraid I might hurt the chickens if I try to tie them. Would you help me with that? I don't want to accidentally hurt any of them." As soon as she finished, chicken number 3 was caught. |

| The hairy farmer sighed audibly. "What difference does it make? They're just going to be dinner anyways." Despite his objection, he complied and went to grab the rope. One of the remaining chickens had given in to its fate, so it just stood there pecking at the grass. It was no coward. It wouldn't run at the sight of its own shadow. That chicken would stand its ground, and if that helped the last one get away, then it's sacrifice would not be in vain! The last chicken ran away from Yumi. |
| Yumi Yumi saw the last chicken make its escape. She decided to bring back the four chickens before going after the fifth. All four chickens was in front of her and the farmer now. She kept them in place as she waited for the farmer to tie them up. She kept her eye on the direction the last chicken ran off to, determined to catch it after the farmer tied up the four chickens. |

| The farmer roughly grabbed one chicken after the next, tying them up by the legs. The chickens were obviously uncomfortable, not to mention in pain. "Still one left. Yer doing good so far, kid." The last chichen was on the very far side of the field, which was probably a few hundred metres away. It still had energy to spare as well. |
| Yumi She looked down at the tied up chickens and looked at the farmer. She felt bad that they were squirming around so much. "Couldn't you have tied them.... A little less roughly?" She sighed and looked over at the remaining chicken, so far away. "Time to catch that last one." She took out a scrunchy from her pocket and tied her hair back into a pony tail. She needed to get a little closer in order for her shadow to be able to hold the chicken securely. She broke off sprinting in the direction of the chicken, hoping to close up the gap enough for her to send her shadow at it. |

| The farmer eyed Yumi as if to say, "Are you trying to tell me how to do my job?" The last chicken was a fast little dinner. By the time Yumi had closed half the distance, it had covered nearly as much ground on its own. However, it was getting close to the fence that surrounded the entire farm, and it couldn't get past that. Just to complicate matters, a vicious looking dog also started chasing the bird. It probably wouldn't end well if the dog got hold of the chicken. |
| Yumi Her eyes widened when the dog started to chase after the chicken. "Wah! No! Bad doggie!" She put her fingers in her mouth and let out a loud whistle, hoping to catch the dogs attention. Although the dog was kinda far from her, Yumi still sent her shadow after it. Her shadow caught up to the dog in no time and merged with the dog's shadow. It grabbed onto the dogs feet roughly, so that it would trip over itself. once the dog tripped, the shadows crawled up its body and held it down. The hold was a bit weak at first, but as Yumi ran closer to the dog, its strength increased. Once Yumi reached the dog, she stopped to catch her breath. She looked at the dog. "I don't... Suppose... You're the farmers dog... Huh?" She said in between pants. |

| The dog was still barking loudly even as it struggled against the shadowy binds. Upon closer inspection there was a frayed rope attached to its collar. The dog must have broken free to chase after the chickens. It showed no signs of calming down, after all, catching the chicken was the only thing on its mind. The chicken wasn't very far away now, and the fence ensured it couldn't run any further. |
| Yumi She looked back and forth between the dog and the chicken, mentally cursing her inability to control two seperate shadows at the same time. She couldn't use her shadow to hold down the dog and catch the chicken. And she sure as hell couldn't just drag the dog to the chicken, unless she wanted the dog to kill it, which she didn't. Yumi rubbed her temple. She was so close to finishing this without any complications. "Well. Gotta make do with what I've got huh?" With that said, she took off her jacket and held it in her arms, ready to catch the chicken. Her plan was simple: drag the dog as far as possible, release it, then use the same shadow to catch the chicken and bring it towards her and catch it. After that, she'd use the shadow to hold back the dog again. Ok maybe the plan wasn't that simple. But she had to do something. Yumi nodded her head. It was time to put her plan into action. She moved the dog with her shadows as far as she could go. Once she couldn't go anymore, she released the hold on the dog and quickly pulled the shadow back. She thanked God that the chicken had nowhere else to run because of the fence, and used her shadow to grab it and drag it towards her. She could hear the sound of the dog's barking and running getting closer as she worked. When the chicken was close enough she threw her jacket over it and scooped it up, holding onto it tightly against her chest. She turned just as the dog was getting ready to lunge at her. She stumbled back and just barely managed to stop the dog with her shadow again. She stood there for a moment just trying to calm down her heartbeat from the rush of adrenaline, before deciding it was time to head back to the farmer. She pulled the dog along with her as she made her way back. (If there's any problems with this post, tell me. I'll edit it then :)) |

| (Nope. Nothing wrong with it.) The farmer took the final chicken back from Yumi when she returned. He added it to the strange looking chain of chickens he had already tied up. "That's the last of 'em, oh, and I see you've found Fetch too. Hope he didn't cause you any trouble." The farmer tossed some sort of biscuit at the still demented animal, and it quickly turned tame. "That's all I needed ya for. 'preciate the hard work Missy." He then walked off with his bound birds and temperamental dog. The area where Yumi first appeared suddenly lit up with a glowing circle. It looked just like the machine that transported her there in the first place. |
| Yumi After giving the last chicken to the farmer and releasing the dog from her shadows, Yumi gave a big smile to the farmer. "You're welcome mister." She looked at the portal that reappeared on the ground. "Haha, that's my cue to leave now." She gave a wave to the farmer and stepped on the portal. (Ok but for this portal, this is what I imagine it to look like and work! XD) |
