| However "Akane Maniax" is the most commonly used title. You don't really call it as "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Gaiden"... If more people will ask to change it, then I'll do so, but so far I don't like the idea of it. Also, all three biggest anime sites (ANN, AnimeNfo, AniDB) list it as "Akane Maniax". |

| I'm trying to keep members with "all power" at a minimum. So, for now, with the relatively low number of "title changes" we have, I don't want anyone other than myself or Martino to have the that kind of power. Perhaps later on if we get more busy Aokaado. |

UPDATE: I haven't changed any of the Chobits one. I left the main names as they are, but updated the synonyms so that Chibits will show up when you search for Chobits. I updated the rest of the information. Chibits will stay as Chibits, because that's what it is. Full stop. As for the Episode 27 of Chobits thing... I would like to hear someone else's opinion before deciding. |

| Arigato and Fair Enough on the Chibits thing. Glad you took the suggestions into consideration without getting annoyed at me :D You know, what would you think about giving me just the ability to edit names? Not even add just edit, that seems small enough, its not all power at all. But the thing is, as I said, I can't be that active at all. Just once in a while, I could look through the Database and refine things, with the captital letters business and other things. And regarding names, I'll follow EXCATLY what AniDB/ANN has, and discuss with other MODs before making a big change to a name. |

| What I know so far is that there are two access types (don't quote me on the names I used though): 1) Normal Access This is the one which most users are granted. You can add, edit anime/character information, but you can't change the main title of an anime. 2) Full Access The same as above, but you have the ability to change the main title of an anime. Not sure about the other thing which I was granted access to, which was the merging of entries together. Fortunately I had to use it just once (I find a tool too powerful to fall into wrong hands...). But there are things which I can't do, and don't even want to, like full access to the actual database, which would allow me to delete entries (quite pointless since there's merge) and the other stuff which only Xinil can do... If you wanted special permissions, you'd have to ask Xinil. Though, this is something that I wanted to ask Xinil about, whether you can't create more permission types so that you have more control over who can change what and to what extent... =============================== For example: Low Access: * change site ids & wiki * change dates * change additional info * change status * change rating Middle Access: * all above add: * change synopsis * change picture * change description * change additional info Full Access: * all above add: * change main title * the rest... Or modified, but you get the main idea. |

| Basically, there are two types of access as Martino said. One to edit pretty much everything, and the other to edit everything plus names (and able to merge titles). Making it so there are three access types, each with the ability to change different things is...not easy, heh. I see the benefit in it, but I'd have to think about how to accomplish it. Puvi: I'd have to think about granting you full access as you haven't been a member a very long time yet. |
