Basically I'm looking for an anime that has either Action or super power (or something like this) and romance, and the main character protects his love interest.

I am a little hesitant to say Hakuoki, as it is a reverse harem. However it has good art, handsome guys, (or if you don't care about that), awesome powers and swordsmanship. Don't know if this is what you want, but good luck!
There are several seasons as well.
That's honestly all I can remember unless..
Coppelion: A great visual series. The guy isn't the MC, but he helps save the MC girl survive. I won't spoil it, but great fun. There are lots of controversies about this series, but I like this.
These are honestly the only series I can think of. The rest, you have already seen! Good for you! :)
