Delete posts as fast as possible that do not relate to the thread, and personally warn user to move to the appropriate thread. You can create threads with less restrictions on it, to create the appearance of being laid back. Will seem club officers are less enforcing of the policy. I have not been in very many clubs, well, actually this is like the only one... I get its supposed to be fun, but look at the MAL forums, they have rules in place, but still, MAL is meant for people to have fun, and enjoy themselves. Its really, however you want to handle it. Personally, I do feel the other thread got out of hand for a minute... Its the balance of, do what you feel is right, and, hopefully a club will remain. But even if it doesn't, maybe a few people will stay, and you can reorganize, and recreate... You just need more people for you, then against you... If thirty people are talking, 10 are creating a problem, and the other 20 are trying to enforce your opinion, the 20 will win. But if its opposite, you have 4 people trying to follow your rules, and the 26 others aren't you will lose. New members must also see current members respecting the officers of the group. Disrespect in front of the club, spreads. Why I always say, go private. |

| That's good to hear! I'm going to be attending a friend's funeral this Thursday - he was a classmate from highschool, but I'm not sad or anything. I feel it to be my responsibility to pay my respects to him since I actually hold one of my fondest memories with him.
