[SPOILERS] I need help understanding that freaking cube and Yui's origin

I kind of... understood this series except:

1. The purpose/origin of that cube.
2. Yui's origin.
3. Was Kaori from the future (ep. 12) 100% Kaori or Yui's mind in Kaori's body?

1. I have no freaking clue, it bothered me throughout the anime but I can't find a purpose for that freaking cube ?!
2. Sou made her, as both he and Airi states in the last ep.
3. I don't think so ? I think it was 100% Kaori, nothing proves otherwise.

1. The cube served as a savepoint in time/ it's also an AI of some sort. They hinted at it's origin, but did not dwell into it.
2. See above.
3. That was another timeline.

So it was like a checkpoint for Yui to get back to the past at the right time/place in every timeline? mmm I don't get the AI part. And yeah, it was like if the cube appeared from nowhere.

God, they need to make an OVA so bad. I enjoyed/had high expectations since the last 4 episodes, but the closure was kinda bad :/

2. According to what I get, what Sou and Airi did was just remaking Yui based on the sleeping Yui who failed to save Kaori. But I think there was an episode where Sou said the very first Yui is probably made by Shiori (Kaori's mom)
