As a juggling fanatic, I question why there is a lack of juggling in anime. Simply looking for an anime with juggling. The only one I know with any juggling in it is that one episode of Ranma 1/2 where the one girl was doing 4 ball shower in super slow motion. Of course I want more realistic looking juggling, but since most people don't know how to juggle, I find that most people can't tell the difference between life like juggling and fake-looking juggling in anime, so nothing to do but watch it myself!

I can say that the one in Ranma looked fake, she didn't do any sort of realistic arm movements, juggling balls do not have a mind of their own! Your subtle arm movements determine where they'll go! And she was throwing them straight up! grrr!!

You could try Kaleido Star, it's a show all about high flying circus performance, and if I remember right (Although I haven't finished the first season and it's been a while since I've seen it) there was some juggling in that show during some of the performances.

I'll second Kaleido Star. Although juggling is only a small part of the show, it does appear in several episodes in both seasons. The performances include both a single person juggling, as well as two people passing items back and forth to each other while they juggle.

I'm no expert on juggling, so I can't judge whether the juggling is depicted realistically, although it mostly looks realistic to my untrained eye. I would guess that, like the rest of Kaleido Star, some of the juggling sequences are flights of fancy that are unlikely to be possible in real life, while others could be realistically depicted. For examples, there's one brawny guy who juggles full-sized barrels (and occasionally small children) that seems a bit fanciful, but there's another scene where one of the performers teaches juggling to some kids on a playground that seems completely realistic.

And a final note: Kaleido Star is directed by Junichi Sato, who also directed Princess Tutu, a show that you rated a 10.

Hmm, certainly a good reason to check it out. I'm not going to ask how they compare since they're really not even the same genre. It'll be pretty high up on my Otakon wish list ;) Princess Tutu is my favorite anime of all time, even if it's nothing like any of the other shows I ever watch (which tend to lean heavily on action or sci-fi)
