Main Protagonist Turns Evil? Vice Versa?

Any anime that display the main protagonist as a "good guy" but towards the end, he takes a different path and turns evil?

I just finished watching burn notice & the protagonist gave up on everything he stood for toward the end and almost went down a dark path only to be brought back to his senses. I want to see the other side. What happens if the protagonist actually becomes evil?

It doesn't necessarily have to be the main character. Just someone with enough importance for the change to have an impact on the storyline.

In reverse, some people may also be looking for evil characters turning good. Those will be listed as well.

Ga-Rei Zero has one of its protagonists turning evil, and that's pretty much the main focus of the show.

This one is kind of a heavy spoiler, so open it at your own risk:

Mirai Nikki might be another option.

Another spoiler, though I didn't like the series:

Shiki... kinda. Well, depending in what you consider evil, maybe... and who do you consider MC.

There's also the famous Death Note and Code Geass, but I believe you've watched both of them.

Also, its not anime, but I just have to mention The Godfather and Star Wars.

Mai Hime. This anime is centered around a group of girls who can use guardians. Some of them turn from good to evil during the anime. I don't want to say whom because this is actually part of the huge plot twist of the anime.
