Looking for unique manga

As a bit of a manga veteran, I crave a manga that doesn't follow the usual tropes of the genre (especially shounen/seinen manga with annoying female characters with unproportional bust sizes following around the MC while he fights stronger and stronger bad guys into infinity, and shoujo/shounen ai manga with a plain MC with little personality who is a total magnet for "attractive" guys). If you've read more than a dozen manga, you know what I'm talking about. I'm up for anything with a good plot and interesting, developped characters, that isn't the same old predictable plot for its genre. Thanks!

Oh, yeah, preferences...

I'm cool with anything besides hentai/yuri/yaoi, horror, tragedy, mecha, ecchi. I am very particular about harem manga. I haven't had much experience with sports manga, but it's hard for me to stay interested.

I also really like cute, feminine, shy male characters/ male "wife" characters like Alphonse Elric.

Sanctuary (apart from the truly terrible female characters...)

Also:
- 20th Century Boys
- Hoshi no Samidare (It's chock full of tropes but plays with them in really interesting ways. Sometimes dibs into parody territory)
- Monster
- Pluto
- Nausicäa of the Valley of the Wind for a true classic
- Onanie Master Kurosawa
- Sundome (it's "unique" alright)

Yeah, I would totally add all the manga I've ever read to my list if I could remember the names of all of the manga I've read over the past five or six years off the top of my head.. I'm adding everything I remember. If it helps any, I haven't read any of those that you've suggested! This is very helpful~

Baby Steps - Sports manga (tennis) whose MC is a model student with OC tendencies. No supernatural elements (like in PoT) ;)

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Nyuugaku-hen

Shokugeki no Souma - cooking battle manga.

Ubel Blatt - (be warned of ecchi scenes) story about a hero who takes vengeance upon his previous comrades. Story wise, i think its more than satisfactory
