Yes, I like games! I am making one more topic after this since I did four specific searches and none of them came up and yes, they are all generally from Atlus and Nippon because I am a geek like that!

Growlanser has 5 games in the series at the moment, although only 3 are available in the United States, not sure about elsewhere. Langrisser is also related to Growlanser and they will be coming out with a new one of that soon, too, but back to Growlanser!

Growlanser is another tactical RPG, but the fighting is very odd in that you can change your actions at any moment in the fighting and that it doesn't really feel particularly tactical since there are no squares, more distances you can walk and how many times you can turn.

They are all very fantasy-based games, taking place in Kingdoms with war-torn countries and old technology FOR THE MOST PART, although, of course, there are the wonderful cities with insane technology, as there are in anything.

One of my favorite parts of Growlanser is the art. Growlanser has the most beautiful art from any game I have seen that's not totally computer-graphics looking. They look like gorgeous fantasy anime characters and I love them for that.

What's the policy on posting images in these? I have so many to share!

At the moment you can get Growlanser II and III here in a box set that was released a few years ago for the PS2 and just recently, Growlanser V was released for the PS2.

I have played all the game available in English with Growlanser 4 being my favorite from the franchises. I stopped playing at Growlanser 5 when they changed the game mechanic which was damn slow and tedious to play. The game was ridicoulously hard and the characters design was I don't know; maybe too old-school for many people which was my guess of why the games just flew under the radar.

Found out about the franchise from a friend that loves Satoshi's art and played Heritage & stopped after getting stuck in Wayfarer, gotta get back on that.

I love games like this that give you tons of reasons to replay thats not just the nostalgia talking
