| It would be weird if he gave it to one of his nakama honestly. It would make the 2 year time skip pointless for said nakama, as he/she spent 2 years refining/improving their skills and then BAM they suddenly get a power boost by eating the Mera Mera no Mi. If anything Oda might pull some crazy and mind blowing plot twist on us. |

| I still think it's likely that the fruit won' end up in luffys hands at all. Law is in trouble, there is fujitora there, the marines may confiscate the fruit. Burgess may end up with it as well, what more to make luffy angry than someone from blackbeards crew having the mera mera no mi? |

My bet is they are all being taken care off already somehow by Dofla. And if they would've gotten outside the marines would've rounded them up. The only ones who would turn against Dofla are the block winners, which is Luffy (who's already fighting against Dofla), Barto, and Burgess who probably wouldn't fight Dofla against BB orders. I'm not saying I believe it is fake, I just state it as an option...it can be pretty much possible. After all, Dofla has every authority he can at his disposal |

| Nobody in the crew really needs a devil fruit. They need at least a few people who can swim after all. Hah, and the least likely person is Jinbe. He might even get a power-down from it. I really don't know what they're going to do with it. However, unless someone eats it right in front of Luffy he's going to get it to someone he likes. I can't see him losing to a member of Blackbeard's crew. Blackbeard, absolutely, but not Burgess. |
